2025-12-12
Recently, the 2025 Hunan Provincial College Students Hip-Hop Dance Competition, sponsored by the Department of Education of Hunan Province, came to an end. Making its debut as a newly formed team, HUTB Hip-Hop Dance Team won an excellent result of 1 gold and 2 silver medals, demonstrating the vibrant vitality and competitive strength of HUTB students. As the first special hip-hop dance competition for colleges and universities in Hunan Province, this event attracted more than 3,000 players from 93 universities across the province.
In the self-choreographed group dance event, HUTB Hip-Hop Dance Team wore yellow and black contrasting team uniforms. With distinct layered lifting moves, neat and precise beat-matching actions, and well-coordinated formation changes, they won a silver medal. In the Hiphop set routine competition, the team appeared in blue and black spliced outfits. From the steady leading dancer's position to the squatting and kneeling overlapping composition, and then to the creative choreography of all members lying down and freezing, the stage was full of tension. Relying on consistent teamwork and clean sense of power, they claimed another silver medal.
In the most anticipated Breaking solo event, the team members fully demonstrated strength and skill through a series of high-difficulty moves such as low glides, headspin handstands, and elbow-supported spins. Every floor move hit the beat precisely, and every aerial flip triggered cheers. In the end, Li Changhong from HUTB claimed the gold medal in this event with solid skills and a calm performance.
Behind this achievement lies the team members' diligent training, unity and perseverance, as well as the careful guidance of coaches and the comprehensive support of the university. From team formation and training support to event coordination, the university has provided a solid backing in all aspects. This initial success is not only a vivid display of the achievements of HUTB's sports education, but also lays a solid foundation for the future development of the Hip-Hop Dance Team. It is expected that the team will continue to show the youthful and striving spirit of HUTB students on more stages in the future and write a new wonderful chapter.
