【People.cn】HUTB Students Achieve Good Results in Hunan Province’s First Hotel Management Business Planning Creative Contest

Changsha, Nov.26(people.cn) — Recently, Hunan Provincial Hotel Management Business Planning Creative Contest 2020, hosted by the Department of Education of Hunan Province and undertaken by Hunan Normal University, was held in Hunan Normal University. 6 teams representing HUTB achieved good results in the event, including gold prize, first prize, second prize and third prize.

Launched in early July, the contest lasted 4 months. Its aim is to build a platform for integration of industry and education, promote exchanges among universities and colleges, demonstrate the teaching achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship made by hotel management and related majors of colleges and universities, and contribute to training of high-quality talents for hotel and tourism.

The School of Tourism Management of HUTB organized professors and industry experts to provide multi-party and intensive training for participating students. 10 teams selected by HUTB joined more than 300 teams from other colleges and universities in the provincial contest. After fierce competition, a student delegation guided by Chen Wen and Li Wanqiong, teachers of the School of Tourism Management, won 1 gold prize, 1 first prize and 2 third prizes, a student delegation guided by Liu Zhi won 1 second prize, and a student delegation guided by Guo Yihong and Tang Xianghui won 1 third prize.
