 With the development of internet and constantly growing popularity degree of big data and new media, many universities have opened the related majors in succession, including big data major and new media major.

250 Universities Open Big Data Application Major

As one of the third batch of universities which open data science and big data technology major inChina, Hunan University of Commerce will recruit 200 freshmen in autumn of this year. By the end of 2017, 250 universities had opened this major inChina.

Midwifery Major of Undergraduate Students: Cultivate the High-quality Maternal and Newborn Healthcare Talents

In order to adapt to the talent market demands, universities are also adjusting the setup of traditional major. As the unique medical college which opens the undergraduate midwifery major in Hunan  Province, this school will recruit 120 freshmen in this year. The course contents, including midwifery, gynecology nursing, pediatric nursing and others, are mainly aimed at cultivating the high-quality clinical midwifery and maternal & newborn healthcare talents. In fact, Hunan University of Medicine had opened midwifery major for college students as early as 2009. Until now, this school has provided over 4,000 midwives for Wuling  Mountain area and the employment rate of students reaches up to 100%.
