[rednet.cn] News on Dec. 15 (journalist: Zeng Xiaoying) Hunan University of Commerce signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Hunan Rednet New Media Group on Dec. 15 and engaged Shu Bin, a member of Party Committee of Hunan Publishing Group, Vice General Manager, secretary of Party Committee and Board Chairman of Hunan Rednet New Media Group as the guest professor.
Zheng Jiaming, the former vice minister of Hunan Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department and dean of Literature and Journalism College of Hunan University of Commerce, presided over the signing ceremony. Zeng Fuqiu, a member of Party Committee of Hunan University of Commerce signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shu Bin on behalf of their school and company respectively.
Zheng Jiaming said that the network-school cooperation could “practice the young children favorably” and help Journalism students to acquire knowledge and expand their horizon.
In the opinions of Zeng Fuqiu, the network-school cooperation mechanism will help students to develop into the new media inter-disciplinary talents and this “win-win cooperation” between Hunan University of Commerce and Hunan Rednet New Media Group will certainly take root and sprout with countless fruits.
Shu Bin said that new media was a media with the highest usage rate and Hunan was the highland of new media development. In such case, the new media talent cultivation was faced with the higher demands in Hunan Province. Therefore, rednet will closely cooperate with Hunan University of Commerce to cultivate the new media talents together.
After the ceremony, Shu Bin gave an academic lecture titled by Make Full Use of New Media and Narrate the New Era in Hunan University of Commerce. This lecture focused on the media transition in the context of internet age. Shu Bin said that, “the General Secretary, Xi Jinping mentioned internet contents for eight times in the report of the 19th Session of National Congress of the CPC. This shows that Party and Central Government pay high attention to the new media, therefore, the practitioners are increasingly faced with the higher demands.” Given this, both university and media shall keep up with the development steps of new media to strengthen the talent cultivation and platform construction, make use of various communication patterns to integrate the authoritative and positive contents with new media deeply. The participating teachers and students benefited a lot from this lecture which provided detailed cases and abundant contents.
