REDNET.CN Changsha News on July 31 (Correspondent: Zhong Xiaokang, Journalist: Liu Yibin) The National Final and Award Ceremony of 2016 Chinese Song Ching -Ling Foundation?Starbucks Chinese Youth Leadership Development Project was held in Beijing on July 29. The student representatives of HNUC attended it on behalf of Hunan Competition Area. Two teams were honored with National Excellent Team, and two students ranked top ten in "Annual Starbucks Youth Leader". And Tang Jiuhong, the director of Fund Department of Song Ching Ling Foundation, and Gao Min, the Olympic champion and diving queen presided over award ceremony.
Chinese Youth Leadership Development Project about "Youth?uture" was sponsored by Chinese Song Ching- Ling Foundation and Starbucks Corporation. Since starting in November 2015, the project has selected the following ten colleges and universities as the cooperative partners, such as Tongji University, Shanghai University, South China Normal University, Hunan University of Commerce and so on, the related activities will be accordingly held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Changsha. 500 university students will establish 100 public welfare teams to carry out investigation and practice, and the public welfare projects include vulnerable group assistance, environmental protection, youth ego development, traditional cultural heritage, etc. with more than one thousand volunteers, they have served over 10,000 citizens and raised concerns from 0.3 million person-times.
After 3 times of strict project implementation and roadshow competition, 2 teams (10 members) of HNUC participated in the National Final on behalf of Hunan Province and competed with 60 members of 12 Youth Public Welfare Teams for 5 days.
In the Great Wall League Construction, Ecological Visiting Protection, Individual Competition and Team Competition of the National Final, the students in HNUC show their favorable intellectual accomplishment and excellent spirituality to other colleges and universities according to the principles of solidarity and cooperation, continuous innovation and strict discipline.
HNUC obtained many honors through their environmental protection, high-efficient and public-spirited printing mode "Icing on the Paper" and challenging & positive "challenge 21 days +" project after 4 times of roadshows and leadership training in 8 months.
Organized by Communist Youth League Committee of HNUC, this project is engaged in carrying out the development concept of "innovative, coordinated, green, opening and sharing", continuously connecting with social resources and platform, participating in social development and fulfilling social responsibility under the guidance of professional teachers. Due to the targeted poverty alleviation, special group assistance and other volunteer projects, HNUC is continuously exploring and innovating the talent cultivation and moral education practice.
