[Hunan Education Network] “Forum for Lushan Seniors” Welcomed in Hunan University of Commerce

Report from the University Net (Correspondent/ Zhang Gaoyang) First “Forum for Lushan Seniors” in 2016 was held successfully in the Student Activity Center of the south campus in Hunan University of Commerce on March 30. Luo Xun, an outstanding alumnus came back to exchange experiences with more than 200 undergraduate student attendants in Grade 2013 and Grade 2014 from School of Finance.
Luo Xun, the speaker of the lecture, having graduated from Class 1004 in Finance Department of School of Finance, was once a vice chairman of Student Union of HUC, sports minister, chairman of Student Union in School of Finance and won Hunan “Constantly Striving Changsha Student Prize”, “National Encouragement Scholarship”, “Top Ten Youth” of HUC, and the first prize for summer social practice in the Program “Three Supports for Rural Areas”. Now, he is working in Changsha Branch of China Guangfa Bank(CGB).
His speech topic was "Choice is more important than hard work ". He talked about his understanding of university life from three aspects: how to spend the time left, the importance of the internship, soft landing from campus to workplace. He provided directions, shared experience of study and work, solved problems in growth by analyzing his own learning experiences at school, working experiences as an intern in China Merchants Bank, Postal Savings Bank and as an employee in Everbright Bank, Citibank, China Guangfa Bank(CGB). He also encouraged students to cherish their time and work hard to embrace a brighter future.
In the question session, students asked questions actively, which he answered in great details. Finally, teacher Zhang Gaoyang gave conclusive comments. He praised Luo Xun for his step-by-step effort to create his own future and to achieve success, as well as his great effort to provide junior students summer internships. His deeds to help junior students could actually win him “Excellent Senior” of Hunan University of Commerce. At the same time, Zhang wished Luo greater progress in future work.
