Hunan Daily Professor from Hong Kong Gives a Lecture on “Lushan Forum”

“This lecture is really enjoyable because I have not only appreciated the charm of the Economics, but also have been affected by the elegant demeanor of the professor from the Chinese University of Hong Kong,” said by Li Ling, a freshman of Hunan University of Commerce. Li Ling thought she benefited a lot from the lecture “Behavioral Decision Making and Management Wisdom” given by Professor Jia Jianmin of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in the “Lushan Forum” of Hunan University of Commerce.
Professor Jia Jianmin, the Dean of the Department of Marketing of Business College of CUHK, is a Chair Professor of the Yangtze River Scholar and the winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund. Professor Jia’s academic achievements have been published in the world’s top academic journals of the management field. In his lecture, by using numerous cases and a simple language, Professor Jia introduced the most up-to-date knowledge of the Decision-Making Theory to more than 300 students of Hunan University of Commerce who came to listen to the lecture. Professor Jia Jianmin also accepted the invitation of the university to be “the Part-time Professor of Lushan” and he will come to carry out academic discussions and exchanges at regular intervals every year.
In order to offer opportunities for the students to know more about the latest knowledge home and abroad and learn from those famous academic experts face to face, Hunan University of Commerce has established the “Lushan Forum”. More than ten famous experts and scholars, such as, Professor Lisa De Propris from the Business College of University of Birmingham of the Great Britain, Professor Gene Claiwere from the Washington State University of the United States, and Professor Liu Xiangyang from Nanjing University, were invited to give a series of lectures for the undergraduates to introduce the advanced knowledge in such fields as that of Big Data Management, Internet Finance and Cross-border E-commerce.
