This morning, 2015 “Intermediate Inspection and Concluding Evaluation of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars” of the Management Science, organized by Management Department of National Natural Science Foundation and undertaken by Hunan University of Commerce and Central South University, was held in Changsha. Evaluation experts from the field of management science research, Distinguished Young Scholars winners, all members of Management Department of National Natural Science Foundation and representatives of teachers and students majoring in management science in Hunan attended the meeting.

HE Hongming, deputy director of National Natural Science Foundation, WU Qidi, Director of Management Department of National Natural Science Foundation, and CHEN Xiaohong, the president of Hunan University of Commerce attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by GAO Ziyou, Deputy Director of Management Department of National Natural Science Foundation.

CHEN Xiaohong, the president of Hunan University of Commerce and evaluation expert of Distinguished Young Scholars, said that this meeting is an important platform for the majority of teachers to strengthen exchanges and learn from each other; it is an extremely rare learning opportunity for Hunan University of Commerce; she sincerely hoped that leaders and experts can give more instruction to this school for constantly improving the research level of natural science and management science.

At the opening ceremony, LI Yijun, Deputy Director of Management Department of National Natural Science Foundation, briefed on the overall situation of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars funded by Department of Management Science, and introduced the significance, objectives, tasks, and principles, criteria and requests of inspection for present experts.

At the meeting, the funded Distinguished Young Scholars winners made intermediate inspection reports. Each speaker elaborated the progress of the project, innovation of research work, academic influence at home and abroad, personnel training and overall academic level of research results, and made special reports on the outstanding results.

National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (NSFDYS) was approve by the State Council in 1994 and managed by National Natural Science Foundation of China. Since its foundation, it has cultivated a number of high-level academic talents for Hunan and China, promoting constant emergence of high-level original achievements and making important contributions to developing service innovation.
