Fitness for all, strive forward with one heart and mind. On the morning of November 3, the 25th Athletics kicked off at the track-and-field ground of the main campus. Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the games. Huang Xin, Deputy Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee and President of HUTB, delivered an opening speech. Xiao Xiaoqin, Deputy Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, presided over the opening ceremony. Facing the rising sun, the national flag class escorted the national flag and the university flag to the flag-raising platform at a steady pace. Full of energy, they held their heads high, marched bythe rhythm accurately, and moved vigorously and forcefully. The atmosphere at the scene wassolemn. Under the leadership of the national flag phalanx and the university flag phalanx, the referee phalanx, the faculty phalanx and the 18 college phalanxes entered forceful steps. The phalanxes were arranged orderly, and the teachers and students were dressed in clothes with distinctive HUTB characteristics, which caught everyone's eye at once. In the audience, colorful flags were waved, drums burst, applause thundered, and the scene was filled with vigorous enthusiasm. All the teachers and students stood in line, watching the national flag and the university flag rise slowly, and sang the national anthem and the Song of Hunan University of Technology and Businessin unison. The teachers and students showed spirits of vitality, confidence and perseverance.

Representatives of athletes swore that they would participate in the games with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, abide by the competition regulations, obey the command, unite and cooperate, and strive bravely. The fun sports games for faculty and staff with the theme of "Together for a Shared Future" began immediately after the Athletics. The competition consisted of three events: Striving Forward, Pulling Together and Fun Frisbee. The atmosphere at the scene was cheerful and warm, which fully reflected the sportsmanship of "friendship first, competition second." When the whistle of the competition blew, the scene was filled with excitement and cheers. The faculty and staff collaborated in the competition. In the end, the Sixth Labor Union of the Administrative Department, the Labor Union of the Logistics Services Management Center, the Labor Union of the School of Sports and Health, the Second Labor Union of the Administrative Department, the Labor Union of the School ofInternational Business, the First Labor Union of the Administrative Department, the Labor Union of the School of Computer Science, and the Labor Union of the School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing ranked the top eight in group competition.

On the green arena, youth has no limit. The students showed their strengths and made breakthroughs in rounds of intense competition. On the high jump field, athletes were vigorous to take off, again and again, showing determination and courage to challenge themselves without fear of difficulties. In the long jump competition, every jump of every player showed the infinite vitality of youth. In the shot-put competition, the players threw the shot hard to let it draw a beautiful parabola. During the competition, the students expressed their concerns to the athletes with actions and endless cheers and sent meticulous care to the athletes. The referees earnestly recorded the results of each competition, and the volunteers did their best to provide on-site services for the athletes, who fully demonstrated the sportsmanship of HUTB students who always work hard with teamwork spirit.

After two days of fierce competition, the School of Finance, the School of Science, the School of Computer Science, the School of Economicsand Trade, the School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing and the School of Law & Public Administration won the top six in terms of the total group scores. The School of Digital Media and Humanities won the "Internet Popularity Award of the Best Phalanx." The School of Sports and Health, the School of Music, the School of Computer Science, the School of Art & Design, the School of Public Administration and Human Geography, and the School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing won the "Excellent Phalanx Award." The School of Science, the School ofInternational Business, the School of Digital Media and Humanities, the School of Music and the School of Finance won the "Best Cheering Squad Award." The School of Foreign Languages, the School of Sports and Health, the School of Law & Public Administration, the School of Science, and the School of Digital Media and Humanities won the "Best Organization Award."

To make the athletes feel at ease, HUTB has carried out epidemic prevention measures such as body temperature detection, health QR code scanning and travel code inspection to ensure the safety and stability of the campus operation. It has also made careful plans and deployment, and the staff members have provided high-quality services with a great sense of responsibility, creating a safe sports competition platform for the teachers and students.
