Eleven “Beidou Micro Program” Applications Approved

Recently, the Department of Education of Hunan Province issued the list of approved applications under the 2022 Beidou Micro Program. Eleven applications submitted by HUTB were approved, a figure more than other colleges in Hunan.

Students from 17 colleges submitted the Beidou Micro Program applications this year. After the examination and appraisal by the expert group, the applications submitted by 39 students were approved, including 9 applied research projects and 30 skill practice projects. The 11 projects of HUTB approved include 4 applied research projects and 7 skill practice projects.

The Beidou Micro Program, issued by the Department of Education of Hunan Province in collaboration with the National & Local Joint Engineering Research Center of the TT&C and Navigation Technology, the National (Changsha) Beidou Specialized Industrial Park Industry-Education Integration Demonstration Base and the Beidou (Changsha) Open Laboratory, is targeted at colleges in Hunan, and aims to comprehensively improve the talent training quality, continue to advance the reform and innovation of the university-enterprise cooperation talent training mode and the innovation and entrepreneurship of college students, promote the progress of engineering practice and academic research, and support the development of the Beidou industry.

HUTB attaches high importance to the Beidou Micro Program applications. Since 2017, HUTB students have submitted research applications and obtained approval every year. HUTB will continue to follow the guidance of the Beidou Micro Program, motivate and encourage more students to participate in research, attract and drive more students to enter research groups, laboratories and enterprises, foster students’ problem-solving ability, and support the training of excellent innovation talents.
