2022-05-15
To further promote the construction of a safe and harmonious campus, enhance the safety and first aid awareness of faculty and students, and make them knowledgeable about the basic first aid skills and procedures, HUTB invited rescue experts from Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch to come to the campus on the morning of May 11 to provide the first aid training for counselors, faculty, students and medical staff of various schools in the Yingcai Lecture Hall.

This special training for first aid includes three sessions such as the theoretical knowledge explanation, practical operation guidance and practical operation assessment. Many rescue experts from Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch systematically explained the operation process of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED), the detailed operation steps of Heimlich first aid method, and self-protection.

Under the guidance of the first aid trainer of Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch, the trainees conducted on-site simulation exercises and operation assessment in groups. Trainers help the participating faculty and students to carry out the practical exercises, so that the participating faculty and students basically understand the first aid skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the correct use of AED, and the qualified faculty and students obtain the training certificate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR + AED) issued by the Red Cross Society of China.

Through this special training on first aid knowledge and skills, faculty and students have further realized the importance of first aid knowledge. In addition, after actively communicating and applying with Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch, the infirmary has installed a professional AED at the entrance of Chufeng Academy of Economic Management Complex, which can rescue people in time in case of emergencies, reduce the potential unexpected risks, improve the ability to deal with emergencies, and lay a good foundation for creating a safe and harmonious campus.
