Many Scholars of HUTB Listed on High Contribution Scholars of China 2022

On May 11, Cuaa.Net, a national third-party university evaluation research institution, officially released the list of High Contribution Scholars of China 2022. Professor Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and Party Secretary, is listed, ranking 12th in the national list. This is another honor won by Academician Chen Xiaohong since she was selected as Highly Cited Scientists in the World, Top 2% Scientists in the World and TOP10 Outstanding Humanities and Social Scientists in China.
In the list released this time, 6089 outstanding scholars from 495 universities in China were selected, including Professor Wang Minggao and Professor Ouyang Yao of HUTB. Central South University ranks first among high contribution scholars in Hunan Province, and HUTB has advanced into the top 10 universities in the province, ranking 16th among financial and economic universities in China. The selection of Academician Chen Xiaohong and many other scholars is the result of HUTB’s continuous strengthening of cross-integration and innovation in the field of science and technology.
High Contribution Scholars of China 2022 is based on the systematic achievements and contributions made by Chinese scholars to national economic and social development, highlighting the evaluation of scholars' education and teaching level, academic research level, innovation quality and actual social contribution. Twelve authoritative mainstream and symbolic representative indicators recognized by all sectors of society are selected as evaluation criteria, including the National Teaching Achievement Award, National Science and Technology Award, Humanities and Social Sciences Award of Ministry of Education, "Five Ones" Project Award of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and China Patent Award. The selection criteria are scientific, objective and unified, and the statistical period of indicators is from 2000 to 2021. The scholars on the list are outstanding scholars who have made outstanding contributions in education, teaching, academic research and social services in Chinese universities since 2000, and leading talents with great academic influence in their respective disciplines.
Cuaa.Net put forward the indicator of High Contribution Scholars of China for the first time in China, which provides a basis for scientific, objective and systematic evaluation of Chinese university scholars.
Through the list of High Contribution Scholars of China 2022, Cuaa.Net put forward the indicator of High Contribution Scholars of China on the basis of selection of Outstanding Humanities and Social Scientists of China for many years to implement the policy requirements of the national Overall Plan for Deepening the Reform of Education Evaluation in the New Era and the documents on correcting "Five Faulty Trends" faults issued by the Ministry of Education, and the Chinese University Ranking Evaluation Index System of Alumni Association 2022 is introduced to resolutely correct the poor value orientation of "only papers, valuing science over literature" in Chinese university ranking, and provide a basis for scientific, objective and systematic evaluation and research on the performance of Chinese university scholars.
