HUTB Holds a Retirement Ceremony for the Emeritus Faculty

The teachers assiduously impart knowledge and educate people with a chalk on the three-foot platform. On the afternoon of April 27, a retirement ceremony for the faculty was held in Conference Room 206 of Technology Building, attended by Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and Party Secretary, Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary, and Yang Liangqi, Vice President. Former chief leaders Yang Hong and Chen Liying and more than 30 retired faculty representatives took part in the ceremony which is presided over by Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary of HUTB.
Vice President Yang Liangqi, read out the list of emeritus faculty members since 2020. Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and Party Secretary, presented the emeritus certificate and souvenirs to the representatives of the faculty, and sent them the cordial greetings and best wishes.
The former chief leaders, Professor Yang Hong and Professor Chen Liying, and Professor Shi Liangwu, the retired teacher of School of Computer Science & Information Engineering, spoke as representatives of emeritus faculty members. Everyone said that HUTB holding a ceremony for the emeritus faculty makes people feel particularly happy and warm; the rapid development of HUTB in recent years makes people feel refreshed and particularly proud. They deeply reviewed the course of imparting knowledge, educating people and starting a business in HUTB for decades, sincerely wished HUTB new success in development, and said that they would continue to exert the waste heat and contribute to the development of various undertakings in HUTB with practical actions.
Dr. Xiong Chao, a teacher from the School of Digital Media and Information Engineering, spoke as a representative of young teachers, paying tribute to the retired faculty and staff, and saying that he would take the "baton" and forge ahead into a new journey to contribute to the development of HUTB and live up to his youth. Du Junqi, a student from School of Law & Public Administration, spoke as a student representative, thanking retired faculty members for their care and love for young students, and sending good wishes.
On behalf of the Party Committee of HUTB, Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and Party Secretary, expressed her heartfelt thanks to the emeritus faculty for their hard work and selfless dedication during their tenure. She pointed out that emeritus faculty members are witnesses, planners, strugglers and devotees for the development of HUTB, and their deep feelings and good expectations for HUTB are moving. She introduced the outstanding achievements made by HUTB in personnel training, scientific research, social services, enrollment and employment, discipline competitions, etc. in recent years, and expressed the hope that the emeritus faculty would continue to shine for the development of HUTB, make new contributions, and pass on the spirit of struggle to young comrades. She stressed that HUTB will create conditions for everyone's colorful retirement life, conduct the retirement work with heart and emotion, and wish the retired veteran comrades of HUTB peace, happiness and well-being.
