HUTB Holds the Opening Ceremony of the First Sports Festival and Fun Sports Meet

Burn the spring and face the future together - On the afternoon of April 19, HUTB held the opening ceremony of the first Sports Festival and Fun Sports Meet in the track and field of main campus. Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and Party Secretary, Huang Xin, Vice Party Secretary and President, Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary and other chief leaders and Party Committee members attended the opening ceremony, and participated in and watched the competition together with faculty and students.

Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and Party Secretary, expressed warm congratulations on the opening of Sports Festival. She expressed the hope that all faculty members and students will actively participate in the broadcast gymnastics and eight trigrams boxing, and face the future with HUTB passionately, and announce the official opening of the first Sports Festival of HUTB.

Huang Xin, Vice Party Secretary and President, expressed the hope that all faculty members and students will vigorously carry forward the spirit of Beijing Winter Olympics, study and work hard, and make greater contributions to the development of HUTB, and wished this Sports Festival a complete success.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary.

The opening ceremony kicked off in the youthful and energetic cheerleading performances of two female cheerleaders, namely, the champion and runner-up of the cheerleading competition in the last university sports meet, the School of Business Administration and School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing.

Chief leaders practiced broadcast gymnastics and eight trigrams boxing together with faculty and students. In the dynamic and rhythmic broadcast gymnastics music, everyone completed the gymnastics movements uniformly and powerfully, and then performed the eight trigrams boxing with beautiful movements, combining the rigidity and softness, mind and body.

Subsequently, the Fun Sports Meet started in full swing. In the football shooting competition, the contestants run hard and shoot with all their strength, and the football flying forward rushes into the goal with powerful strength; In the rugby throwing competition, the rugby goes up and down in the throwing and passing of the contestants, and the rugbies go into the basket accurately one by one. After intense competition, School of International Business, School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing, School of Economy & Trade and other schools won the top eight in football shooting competition, and School of Finance, School of Literature & Journalism, School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing and other schools won the top eight in rugby throwing competition.

The first sports festival aims to thoroughly implement the strategic goals of the 12th Party Congress of Hunan Province on "Healthy Hunan" and "Strong Sports Province", encourage and guide faculty and students of HUTB to actively participate in sports, create a good campus sports atmosphere, attract more faculty and students to keep fit and embrace the sunshine, and inject new youthful vitality into the "Three-upgrade and Three-highland" construction of HUTB.
