Second Campus Music Season (Spring and Summer) Convenes

Recently, the second campus (spring and summer) music season of HUTB convened in Qiushi Academy of Economic Management Complex. Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and Party Secretary, Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary, Liu Guoquan, Vice President, and heads of various functional departments and schools enjoyed this splendid music event together with faculty and students. Xiao Ming, Dean of the School of Music, Music Director and Chief Conductor of Changsha Symphony Orchestra, served as Music Director of the opening ceremony.
Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and Party Secretary addressed the opening ceremony. She said that during the special care period of epidemic prevention and control, HUTB strictly implement the access administration at campus gates with the hope that the music season would enrich the students' campus cultural life, make art bring beautiful enjoyment to the students, and let everyone improve their artistic accomplishment in the process of enjoyment. She expressed the hope that everyone can enjoy this evening and wish the music season a complete success. Immediately, Secretary Chen Xiaohong announced the opening of the second campus (spring and summer) music season of HUTB.
The music season officially kicked off, and wonderful programs were staged in turn. The performance was hosted by Teacher Song Wei. The College Symphony Orchestra played three symphonies, My Motherland, Hungary No.5 and Carmen Overture, for the audience. The symphony with solemn style and clear setbacks brought the audience into a strong musical artistic conception and rich imagination space; Teacher Li Sangying performed the soprano solo I Want to Live in a Beautiful Dream, and the gorgeous aria shaped the image of a beautiful girl who yearned for love and bravely fought against feudal families; Teacher Li Cheng brought the baritone solo The River All Red, showing the feelings of home and country and the true nature of heroes with the heroic trend of spectacular significance; Liao Zezhong, an undergraduate of the School of Music, played I Love You China, of which the tune fluctuates, the rhythm is free and long, and which is full of patriotism; Teacher Liu Yaqian performed Waiting for Joy, which, in the form of arias, shows that an innocent and romantic girl is immersed in a warm family atmosphere and full of vitality for the future; the chamber orchestra composed of teachers such as Deng Li, Su Ying, Yi Kai, Que Shuo, Wang Long and Zheng Xin’ai brought the Second Waltz of Shostakovich and Girl of Alishan to the audience, of which Second Waltz has a mysterious and elegant melody, and the Girl of Alishan has a wonderful rhyme, which perfectly combines the beauty of human nature and scenery; Teacher Ma Yifang vividly showed the beautiful and rich island customs with the dulcimer solo Straits Music Poetry; Teacher Gao Ming sang Awariguli, showing the charming customs of Xinjiang; Teachers Li Cheng and Li Sangying performed a duet You are Miss Valerie, showing the kind and brave heart of La Traviata; “Palace Warbler" group of the School of Music sang the beautiful Romanian folk song Looking in the Mirror, like kingfisher playing water and Oriole singing; Under the command of Teacher Liu Junjie, Changfeng Choir sang Shepherd's Song and Yearning, which connected the hearts of the audience and pushed the atmosphere of the opening ceremony to a climax. With warm applause and cheers from teachers and students, the opening ceremony came to a successful conclusion.
