HUTB Wins the "Winning Cup" of the National "Challenge Cup" Competition for the First Time

On April 12, the closing ceremony of the 17th "Challenge Cup" National College Students' Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Competition and the theme activity of "Led by S & T innovation, Ready to Build a Powerful China" co-sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, All-China Students' Federation and Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and hosted by Sichuan University were held through live webcasts, and collective awards were announced. HUTB won one special prize, one second prize and two third prizes in the competition, and won the national "Winning Cup" for the first time (the only one in the province, one of 42 universities in China) and the "Excellent Organization Award" (one of 77 universities in China).


After more than 30 years of development, "Challenge Cup" competition has become one of the largest comprehensive S&T innovation competitions for students with the highest specifications and the widest influence in China, and it is also an "Olympic" grand meeting of S&T innovation for contemporary college students. HUTB attaches great importance to the S&T innovation of college students, constructs a high-quality S&T innovation environment for college students through the second classroom practice and the building of brand “S&T innovation”. Taking the mechanisms of college students' scientific research projects and social practice research projects in winter and summer vacations as the starting point, HUTB continuously strengthens the intensity and depth of students' participation in scientific research, continuously promotes young teachers' participation in guiding students' scientific research projects, creates a good science and technology innovation atmosphere, and guides students to actively participate in the tide of S&T innovation.
