On October 8, 2021, Lei Xiaodong successfully donated 170ml of hematopoietic stem cell suspension after four and a half hours of hematopoietic stem cell collection operation, helping a girl suffering from aplastic anemia (extremely severe) to rekindle her hope of life. Lei Xiaodong also became the 12110th in China, the 865th in Hunan Province and the first hematopoietic stem cell donor in Lanshan County, Yongzhou City.

Lei Xiaodong's great love and selfless help to others touched countless people, and also touched the hearts of teachers and students in HUTB.
