Construction Standard of Beautiful Countryside in Hunan, Jointly Prepared by HUTB, Officially Released

On December 29, 2021, Administration for Market Regulation of Hunan Province officially issued two local standards in Hunan Province, i.e. Guidelines for the Construction of Beautiful Countryside in Hunan and Evaluation Specification for Beautiful Countryside in Hunan, which will be implemented in the whole province from March 29, 2022.

It is said that two local standards were compiled by 16 experts and scholars from 9 institutes, including HUTB and Hunan Agricultural University, under the leadership of Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hunan Province and led by Hunan Beautiful Countryside Construction Research Association in nearly one year. During the compilation process, 26 relevant functional departments directly under provincial government, 14 municipal and state agricultural and rural bureaus and 33 relevant offices of Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hunan Province provided strong support and specific guidance. The release and implementation of the two local standards in the whole province mark that the construction of beautiful countryside in Hunan has changed from a directional concept to a qualitative, quantitative and operable practice, and that Hunan has a formal local standard for judging the construction effectiveness of beautiful countryside, which will definitely help the vast rural areas in Hunan to revitalize more accurately.

Hunan Beautiful Countryside Construction Research Association was established in 2018, adhering to the purpose of "based on Hunan, facing the whole country, focusing on the countryside and serving agriculture, rural areas and rural residents". It is a new think tank serving agriculture, rural areas and rural residents under the guidance of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hunan Province and an academic platform for rural reform and development theory. HUTB is the vice president organization of the association.
