New Year Concert 2022 and Closing Ceremony of First Music Season of HUTB Grandly Held

On the evening of December 30, 2021, 2022 New Year Concert and closing ceremony of first music season of HUTB were grandly held at the Lecture Hall of Economic Management Complex. Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academy, Huang Xin, Vice Party Secretary and HUTB President, Vice Party Secretary Xiao Xiaoqin, and other chief leaders, members of the Party Committee and some former Chief Leaders enjoyed this splendid, elegant and rich music art feast together with HUTB teachers and students.
Xiao Ming, Dean of School of Music and music director of Changsha Symphony Orchestra, served as the music director and guide of this evening party. Famous singing artists of Central Opera House like Su Xuebing, Sun Lidong, Geng Zhe, Sun Xueman, Qin Kanru, Wang Kaibo, young artists Song Yang, Ding Jie, Wang Chunhui and Korean young artist Sinae were invited to perform at the evening party. Teachers and students of the School of Music, Changfeng Choir and female teachers group Hawthorn Tree participated in the performance.
In the first half, the artists of the Central Opera House, with exquisite performing arts, performed the personality characteristics of various characters in Barber of Seville, which is known as one of the three major comic operas in the world, vividly and humorously, in the forms of arias, multiple singing, etc. This is the first time that the Central Opera House performed this play in Hunan Province, which allowed teachers and students of HUTB to appreciate this immortal masterpiece that shines forever in the history of world opera. With the ups and downs of the plot, the laughter, warm cheers and applause sounded at the scene.
In the second half, artists from the Central Opera House, teachers and students from the School of Music, invited young artists, Changfeng Choir and female teachers group Hawthorn Tree performed wonderful solo, chorus, instrumental music and other colorful and diverse programs. Sinae played cello solo Swan Lake, Sun Lidong sang the song Affectionate Land, Sun Xueman sang the song A Glass of Wine, Song Yang played Piano Solo Yellow River Concerto In the second and fourth movements, Wang Kaibo sang the song You Are Such a Person, Su Xuebing sang the song Two-Place Song, Qin Kanru and Wang Kaibo sang the song Horse Bell Rings and Jade Birds Sing", Geng Zhe sang the song Red Flag Fluttering, Wang Long played the saxophone song Going Home, Qin Kanru sang the song The Earth is Like a Song, and Changfeng Choir sang the song Night Outside Moscow. Wang Chunhui accompanied the Barber of Seville in the first half and some programs in the second half.
Finally, all leaders, members of Party Committee and Ling Yunjian, chairman of Hunan SOKAN New Materials Co., Ltd., took the stage to sing the songs Hawthorn Tree, Unforgettable Tonight and My People, My Country together with Changfeng Choir, female teachers group Hawthorn Tree and all teachers and students. The songs were full of deep feelings of teachers and students who loved the party, country and socialism.
