HUTB Approved as Social Science Innovation Research Base of Hunan (Deep Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Africa)

Recently, Hunan Federation of Social Sciences published the Decision on Establishing Social Science Innovation Research Base of Hunan (Deep Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Africa). The base is based on the Institute of Free Trade Zone Construction and China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Strategy led by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, and jointly declared with China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council, which is also an important achievement since the establishment of the Institute of Free Trade Zone Construction and China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Strategy.

The base is led by HUTB and jointly built with China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council. Vice President Zhang Ling, and Xu Shu, Director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, served as the heads of the base, and Xu Xiangping, President of China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council, served as the chief expert of the base. The main tasks of the base are to build a China-Africa economic and trade data information resource library to provide cooperation information and decision-making reference for the government and enterprises; develop China-Africa economic and trade cooperation information platform, including information management consultancy, investment promotion, financing credit, e-commerce and other service sub-platforms; establish the international journals and strengthen the publicity and promotion of research results and practical application; organize a high-end forum on China-Africa economic and trade cooperation to enhance our province's influence in the field of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation; build a talent training center for cooperation with Africa, and provide multi-field, multi-level and multi-demand talent training services for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. Hunan Federation of Social Sciences will increase its support and guarantee for the base, promote the construction of the base together with HUTB and China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council, and make efforts to explore and learn the experiences, which will be popularized and applied in the social science community of the whole province to jointly promote the prosperity and development of social sciences in our province.

HUTB was approved to build "Social Science Innovation Research Base of Hunan (Deep Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Africa) to further optimize the layout of HUTB provincial scientific research platform, promote the construction of the pioneer zone of China-Africa deep economic and trade cooperation in Hunan Province, and play an important role in serving Hunan's "Three Highlands and Four New Missions" strategy and promoting the realization of HUTB's goal of "Three Upgrades and Three Highlands".
