HUTB Holds the Third Training Course for New Teachers

On the afternoon of December 29, the third training course for new teachers was held in the conference room on the 15th floor of Economic Management Complex. Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician and Vice President Liu Guoquan attended, and Chen Xiaohong gave a special training. Heads of relevant functional departments and all new teachers in 2021 participated in the training. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Liu Guoquan.
At the meeting, representatives of new teachers spoke one after another. Everyone thinks that with the continuous enhancement of the comprehensive strength of HUTB, the campus environment is becoming more and more beautiful, the infrastructure is constantly improving, the cultural atmosphere is becoming increasingly strong, the social reputation is significantly improved, and individuals are encouraged. Everyone said that they were deeply infected by the leaders for the hard work, the spirit of bravely climbing the peak, the attitude of defying difficulties and the feelings of loving university and students. Under the leadership of the Party Committee, they will quickly change their roles, do their jobs conscientiously, strive to be the vanguard of all fronts, and make efforts to contribute to the career development of HUTB during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician exchanged views with new teachers. She shared her experiences in study, work and life, encouraged everyone to take the requirements of "facing the forefront of world science and technology, facing the main battlefield of economy, facing the major needs of the country and facing people's lives and health" put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping as a guide, always adhere to the orientation of problem and demand, strive to integrate themselves into the national and regional economic and social development, and write their papers on the motherland.
Subsequently, Secretary Chen Xiaohong trained new teachers with a theme of “learn from history and present, continue the spiritual blood, button up the first button of teaching and scientific research” in three aspects, namely, " learn from history and present, continue the spiritual blood ", "take advantage of the situation to seek development of HUTB" and "button up the first button of teaching and scientific research". She pointed out that since the first Party Congress of HUTB was successfully held, focusing on the transformation and upgrading of local industries and the strategic requirements of "Three Highlands and Four New Missions" in Hunan, HUTB has developed an education philosophy based on the integration of "new engineering courses + new business courses + new liberal courses" and science courses, and strives to cultivate the "innovative, entrepreneurial, application-oriented and compound" first-class talents based on the new requirements of new technologies and new business forms.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong emphasized that all new teachers shall understand and integrate into the university as soon as possible, and quickly realize the role transformation from students to teachers; strengthen ideals and beliefs, regard the virtue fostering through education as the way to be a teacher and the foundation of employment, stay true to the mission, keep in mind the mission; educate people for the party, cultivate talents for the country, and be a good teacher with "four virtues" satisfied by the Party and the people; establish the concept of lifelong learning and continuously broaden the cross-integration of interdisciplinary knowledge; take teaching as the foundation, love teaching, devote to teaching and study the teaching, and act as the guide for students' healthy growth. She also put forward four real hopes for everyone: first, pay attention to the morality of academic research; second, attach the importance to the rigor of academic research; third, promote the teaching by scientific research; fourth, be brave in pursuing excellence.
