High-level Women Football Team of HUTB Wins the 3rd Place in Provincial Competition and Advances to National Competition for the First Time

From December 10 to 18, Hunan Youth Campus Football College League (Super Group), sponsored by the Department of Education of Hunan Province and jointly hosted by Students Sports Association of Hunan and Hengyang Normal University, was held in Hengyang Normal University. The high-level women football team of HUTB participated in the competition under the leadership of coach Peng Zhiwei and executive coach Li Zhuo.
On the afternoon of December 18, our team defeated Changsha University of Science and Technology 2: 1, won the 3rd place in Hunan Youth Campus Football League (Super Group) in 2021, and also advanced to the national competition in 2022. This is the best result in history for the high-level women football team of HUTB, and it is also the first time to qualify for the national competition.
The high-level women football team of HUTB consists of 20 high-level student athletes from freshmen to juniors. Starting from this year's summer training, under the leadership of coaches, the team members were not afraid of the heat and cold, and they were never absent from early training and late training. Even on their rest days, they were actively preparing for competition and training hard.
The competition is very fierce, and the students of HUTB have played the elegant demeanour. In the group stage, they defeated Hunan First Normal University 7: 0 and Hengyang Normal University 2: 0. In the knockout stage, he defeated Hunan University of Science and Technology 4: 1, and finally defeated Changsha University of Science and Technology 2: 1 in the bronze final.
