HUTB Holds First “Harmonious Asia-Europe” International Exchange Practice Concert with Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory

On the night of Dec 21, HUTB, with Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, held the first online “Harmonious Asia-Europe” International Exchange Practice Concert, and the physical concerts were held respectively in Metropolitan Concert Hall of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and Creation Center of HUTB Lingnan Campus. Ms. Svetlana Viktorovna, Deputy Director of Russian Cultural Center in Beijing was present in Metropolitan Concert Hall of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and Xiao Xiaoqin, Deputy Secretary of HUTB, and Zhang Ling, Vice President of HUTB, were present in Creation Center of HUTB Lingnan Campus, to appreciate the charisma of Asian and European music arts. The section in HUTB was presided over by Xiao Ming, Artistic Director (CAO) of Changsha Symphony Orchestra and Dean of School of Music of HUTB, and that in Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory by Popova · Margarita, Director of Creative Project Coordination Center of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and a researcher of Oriental music.
Valeri · Makarov, a solo actor and tenor from Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, Eleanor · Gorshkova, a solo actress from Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Gennady Akinfen, a violin teacher in Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Evgeni · Starodubtsev, a piano teacher in Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, performed in Metropolitan Concert Hall of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory during the first half of the Concert.


Liu Yaqian, a young teacher from HUTB School of Music, Peng Yangyang, a young dulcimer player, Darya · Dadykina, a young Ukrainian pianist, Ae-Shim Jung, a Korean cellist, and Li Sangying, a US-based soprano, and so on performed in Creation Center of HUTB during the second half of the Concert.


Playing of Duke's Song (Rigoletto), The Mermaid´s Song, Granada, Cavatina, Vocalise, Syncop, Russian Dance, I Will Not Forget You (in Russian:ранетки-я не забуду тебя), The Night On Moscow's Outskirts and so on sufficiently demonstrated the Russian artists’ solid artist skills. Playing of Yaoshan Mountain's Night Painting, Phoenix Hairpin, Tuttle Le Feste Al Tempio, Jolie O, He May Be The One I Long To See (in France: Ah, Fors' E Lui), Andante Maestoso also manifested our music teachers’ and overseas student artists’ remarkable professional strength. The artists and audience applauded and cheered for the excellent performances, and their passion also fully embodied the profound friendship between the Chinese and Russian people.
Ms. Svetlana Viktorovna made an online speech. She expressed that music can promote cultural exchanges between the two countries and the two peoples’ mutual understanding in unique artistic forms. She wished the two countries’ music arts to be more prosperous, more diversified in form and be more fruitful, and train a growing number of excellent music talents with HUTB.
The first “Harmonious Asia-Europe” International Exchange Practice Concert, co-hosted by Party Committee Publicity Department, Youth League Committee, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, School of Music, is aimed to promote the construction of music disciplines and the music teaching practice towards the international frontier, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, further broaden students’ international horizons, enhance their cultural confidence and professional competence, and build a better learning and practice platform for excellent music innovators.
