HUTB Holds a Special Chorus Concert of " Harmony of HUTB"

On the evening of December 19, the Chorus Concert of "Harmony of HUTB" of the 7th Culture and Art Festival of HUTB and the First Music Season, jointly sponsored by the Party Committee Publicity Department, Youth League Committee and School of Music, and co-organized by Labour Union and School of Art & Design, were held brilliantly in the Creative Center of Lingnan Campus. Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, experienced the elegant chorus art and enjoyed the wonderful audio-visual feast together with the teachers and students of HUTB.

Xiao Ming, Music Director of Changsha Symphony Orchestra and Dean of School of Music of HUTB, acted as the artistic director of the special concert, and Liu Junjie served as the conductor. Changfeng Choir, Tianyin Teachers Choir and "Hawthorn Tree" female teachers group performed, and Children's Choir from Hunan Youth Activity Center participated as a special group.

This concert showed a complete range of chorus performances such as mixed voice, male voice, female voice and children's voice. A total of 15 tracks were performed including In That Place Wholly Faraway, Song of the Yue Boatman, Big Fish, Yellow Water Ballad, Hemerocallis Flower, Siyahamba, Qingliu, Yuyang War Drum, Let's Swing the Oars, Seeds of Dreams, Hawthorn Tree, Love of Hawthorn Tree, Hu Guangsheng, Return to Garden and Many People in the World, most of them are popular classic works, among which there are many original and adapted first songs. Beautiful songs, beating notes and passionate melodies perfectly interpreted the moving stories, which made teachers and students deeply immersed in them. The whole concert is warm, exciting with one climax after another, which make people linger and have endless aftertaste, and is highly praised by teachers and students.

Chorus Concert of "Harmony of HUTB" is an integral part of the series of activities of the 7th Culture and Art Festival of HUTB and the First Music Season. It fully demonstrates the artistic practice achievements of the choir of teachers and students in HUTB, creates a campus full of artistic atmosphere and aesthetic connotation, enhances the elegant cultural taste of the campus, promotes the construction of "artistic HUTB" to achieve remarkable results, and gathers spiritual strength and stimulates the motivation to forge ahead for HUTB to build an innovative first-class technology and business university with distinctive characteristics.
