Students of HUTB Achieve Good Results in 6th College Writing Competition in Hunan

Recently, sponsored by Department of Education of Hunan Province and hosted by Huaihua University, the 6th College Writing Competition in Hunan was held, and attended by more than 200 contestants from 33 teams from Central South University, Hunan University and HUTB. Tang Zhaohui, Vice Dean of School of Literature & Journalism, led a delegation to participate in the competition and won one first prize, three second prizes and four third prizes.

In this year's competition, the number of participating teams and contestants is the highest in all previous years, and the competition is very fierce. The competition is divided into two parts: written test and defense. In the written test, the contestants shall write more than 1,500 words of literary reviews on the spot according to the contradictory prose "Praise of Poplar". In the defense, the questions are extracted with the points given on the spot.

After two days of fierce competition, the participating teams of HUTB have made gratifying achievements. Among them, Lin Shenqi won the first prize, Yi Feng, Gong Yonghui and Xu Jiayi won the second prize, and Xing Zhuoyu, Dou Qin’an, Ling Lei and Zeng Jinqian won the third prize.
