HUTB Won Good Results in the 2021 National and Hunan Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition

Recently, 18th “Huawei Cup” National Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition 2021 came to an end. 17,692 postgraduate students from 459 postgraduate training institutions from all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, special administrative regions and foreign countries participated in the competition. After nearly two months of evaluation by 700 experts hired by organizing committee, 206, 2,175 and 3,559 teams were finally selected for the first, second and third prizes. Of the 28 postgraduate teams from HUTB, 17 won prizes, including 1 first prize, 5 second prizes and 11 third prizes in China, and the competition results reached a record high.

The Office of the Organizing Committee of the 6th Hunan Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition issued the Publicity on the Evaluation Results of the 6th Hunan Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition in 2021, the postgraduate of HUTB won 2 first prizes (ranked first), 8 second prizes (leading the province) and 4 third prizes in this mathematical model competition. 14 of the 15 participating teams won prizes, and the level and number of prizes ranked top among universities in the province.

It is reported that the National Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition is an academic activity for postgraduates to conduct applied research on mathematical modeling, and it is a big platform for postgraduates to improve their ability to establish mathematical models and use Internet information technology to solve practical problems, and cultivate their scientific research and innovation spirit and teamwork consciousness.
