On the morning of November 30, the unveiling ceremony of Yingcai Tennis Court was held beside the gymnasium of main campus, attended by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academy, Vice Party Secretary Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Presidents Liu Guoquan, Gan Dejian and Yi Mianyang, participated in by heads of relevant functional departments, some representatives of teachers and students, and presided over by Vice Party Secretary Xiao Xiaoqin.
Chief leaders and the heads of School of Sports and Health jointly unveiled the Yingcai Tennis Court.
On behalf of HUTB, Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, expressed warm congratulations on the official opening of Yingcai Tennis Court. She pointed out that in recent years, HUTB has actively promoted the construction of tennis courts, and the tennis courts with beautiful shapes, complete functions and facilities have reached the top level in the province and the first-class level in China, becoming another beautiful new business card of HUTB.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong emphasized that tennis has become the advantage of HUTB, and we have the only high-level tennis team in the province. In the first Tennis Competition of Hunan Universities hosted by HUTB last year, HUTB has won the first place in the total score with 6 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. This year, HUTB won the third place in the women's team in Central China Division of the 25th China University Tennis Championship, constantly setting new records in history. HUTB will continue to build tennis as a characteristic, brand and highlight project.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong called on teachers and students to actively participate in tennis, exercise their body and mind, strengthen their physique and will, improve their temperament and self-cultivation, devote themselves to work and study in a good physical and mental state, and make greater contributions to the construction and development of HUTB and country.
After the ceremony, chief leaders inspected the site of Yingcai Tennis Court, consoled the construction staff, experienced the tennis court facilities personally, highly affirmed the construction carried out by relevant functional departments, and put forward new requirements for further improving the follow-up operation management, construction and maintenance of tennis court.
It is reported that Yingcai Tennis Court is an indoor sports hall, which consists of two standardized tennis courts, and the main body is constructed with steel structure. At present, HUTB has successively built a tennis court in Lingnan Gymnasium, an indoor tennis court beside the track and field of main campus, an outdoor tennis court in the north campus and the Yingcai Tennis Court in the main campus, with a total of 7 standardized tennis courts, which will become important sports venues for teachers and students to participate in tennis and for HUTB to undertake tennis events inside and outside.
