HUTB Holds a Report Meeting on the Work of Key Research Institutions at University Level in 2021

On the afternoon of November 23, HUTB held a report meeting on the work of key research institutions at university level in 2021 in the conference room on the 15th floor of Economic Management Complex, which was attended by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, Wang Minggao, Director of Academic Committee, Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary, Vice Presidents Liu Guoquan, Zhang Ling and Yi Mianyang, Chief Leader Li Dingjun and Former Chief Leader Peng Jinqing, participated in by the heads and members of 19 key research institutions at the university level, and presided over by Vice President Yi Mianyang.
The heads of 19 key research institutions at university level made work reports in turn around the construction background, construction direction, team building and expected results.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, made concluding remarks. She said that after listening to the work reports of 19 key research institutions at university level, she was very excited and thought that the results fully proved that the establishment of key research institutions at university level is conducive to speeding up the seizing of the commanding heights of disciplines and holding the new development opportunities brought about by the new round of S&T revolution and industrial transformation. The layout of the construction scheme of key research institutions at university level is advanced and feasible, and the scientific integration of KPI assessment and other contents into the scheme will effectively promote the efficient operation, high-quality output and high-level development of the institutions.
Party Secretary Chen Xiaohong emphasized that the purpose of the layout of key research institutions at university level is to seize the commanding heights of development, lay a good foundation in the early stage, condense the scientific research advantages, form joint efforts to tackle key problems, make key breakthroughs in subdivided research fields, produce new achievements and make new features, and strive to successfully cultivate a number of provincial, ministerial and national scientific research platforms. HUTB will continue to increase support for key research institutions at university level, continuously strengthen the construction of research institutions, fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of researchers to tackle key problems collectively, and strive to build a "plateau" and "peak" cross-integration advantage discipline; give full play to the "baton" role of KPI assessment, establish and improve relevant systems and mechanisms, and fully stimulate the potential, creativity and imagination of scientific researchers. She encouraged all researchers to adhere to the problem-oriented and demand-driven development, conduct the "indomitable" research, and write their papers on the earth of the motherland. Under the unified planning and deployment of the Party Committee, we shall adhere to the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue to cultivate more outstanding innovative talents, promote HUTB to become one of the national strategic S&T forces, and make greater contributions to the country's high-level S&T self-reliance.
