Chief Leaders Inspects and Accepts Laboratories and Related Construction Projects in 2021 and 2022

On the afternoon of November 22, Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, Vice President Zhang Ling, He Longde, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission and Vice President Yi Mianyang led the leaders of relevant construction projects, deans and vice deans of schools to inspect and accept the laboratories and related construction projects in 2021 and 2022.
Chief leaders have inspected the construction achievements of laboratories such as Management of Intelligent Resources and Environment, Digital Intelligence Chemical Analysis, Intelligent Interconnected Factory, Industrial Internet, Artificial Intelligence, Integrated Circuit Chip, New Retail and Virtual Reality, Data intelligence and Smart Society, Communication Technology and Application, Digital Chip Design and Application, Sensing and Communication, Statistical Learning and Intelligent Computing, and Computer Network Engineering. During the inspection, Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician listened carefully to the introduction of laboratory functions, characteristics, systems, layout and other aspects by the person in charge of relevant construction projects, experienced while walking, highly affirmed the completed laboratory, and put forward higher requirements and expectations for the next construction work.
After the acceptance, Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician hosted the acceptance summary meeting of laboratories and related projects in 2021 and 2022 in Conference Room 206 in Technology Building. At the meeting, Secretary Chen Xiaohong highly affirmed the completed laboratories and related projects, saying that with the joint efforts of various departments, significant progress and breakthrough have been made in the construction of laboratories and related projects. She put forward requirements for the next step of laboratory and related project construction: First, we shall accelerate the integration and docking of laboratory platform and scientific research achievements of faculty and students in HUTB, adhere to the functional orientation of "three in one" for teaching, teaching & research and scientific research, form a closed loop of the system, improve the laboratory management system, properly allocate the resources, display the achievements and improve the details, and fully show the laboratory characteristics of HUBT. Second, we shall keep up with the pace of scientific and technological changes and industrial changes, integrate the latest elements of scientific and technological innovation into laboratory construction, make breakthroughs as key directions, bravely meet the challenges of the digital economy era, and strive to construct a first-class laboratory at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation. Third, we shall rapidly promote the construction of economic management, literary, and law, go out to learn the successful experience of laboratory construction in key universities, accelerate the formation of cross-integration development pattern, and promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional disciplines. Fourth, we shall start planning the construction of laboratories and related projects in 2023 as soon as possible, and properly demonstrate the construction planning, so as to ensure that the construction and development of laboratories in HUTB always take the lead and achieve outstanding results.
Finally, Secretary Chen Xiaohong expressed her heartfelt thanks to all the staff involved in the laboratory construction project for their hard work. She hopes that everyone will further learn the knowledge of scientific and technological innovation, aim at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation, quickly change traditional ideas, be alert to potential risks, keep up with the pace of HUTB development, work hard, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the leap-forward development of HUTB during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
