Zhang Ling, Vice President, Gives an Experience Introduction at the Promotion Meeting for Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Integration Cross-border e-commerce Talents Work

On the morning of November 19, the awarding of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan integration cross-border e-commerce talent incubation base and the promotion meeting for cross-border e-commerce talents were held in Changsha, attended by Luo Zuanji, standing member of Changsha Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Director of Organization Department, and relevant leaders of Talent Office of Organization Department of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Changsha City, Zhuzhou City and Xiangtan City, representatives from 7 universities including HUTB, cross-border e-commerce associations and enterprises, and presided over by Liu Hui, Party member of Changsha Municipal People's Government.
At the meeting, Xiangtan University and Hunan University of Technology were awarded the plaques for third batch of "Pilot Organizations of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Integration Cross-border e-commerce Talent Incubation Base". At present, seven cross-border e-commerce talent incubation bases have been identified in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan. In December 2020, HUTB has been approved as the second batch of "Pilot Organizations of Cross-border E-commerce Talent Incubation Bases in China (Changsha) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone".
Vice President Zhang Ling introduced the experience on behalf of HUTB. She pointed out that in the past year, HUTB has attached great importance to the construction of cross-border e-commerce talent incubation base, and the School of Economy & Trade served as the main body to carry out institutionalized construction and create a new situation in the training of specialized cross-border e-commerce talents, and declared the cross-border e-commerce undergraduate major to the Ministry of Education on the basis of professional training in the direction of cross-border e-commerce in international economics and trade majors, which has been unanimously recognized by the evaluation experts; the master's degree in international business sets up the direction of cross-border e-commerce to conduct the professional training; the cross-border e-commerce course system has been continuously improved, and more than 1,700 undergraduate and postgraduate students have participated in cross-border e-commerce courses throughout the year; created a compound cross-border e-commerce teaching and research team, and gathered a group of outstanding professional teachers, business tutors and part-time master tutors; obtained more than 10 cross-border e-commerce teaching and scientific research achievements of the Ministry of Education and the province, and gave full play to the advantages of intellectual resources in serving the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan for Cross-border E-commerce Development in Hunan Province; promoted the construction of cross-border e-commerce laboratories to lead the province and the transformation from the simulation to actual teaching; innovated the open collaborative training mechanism for cross-border e-commerce talents, cooperated with Amazon to train cross-border e-commerce talents, advanced the first cross-border e-commerce operation special ability certificate assessment, and guided students to obtain more than 10 projects and awards such as national and provincial innovation and entrepreneurship training programs and e-commerce competitions for cross-border e-commerce. She said that HUTB will carry out the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue, focus on cultivating innovative, entrepreneurial, practical and compound talents, give full play to its new advantages in serving new technologies, new industries, new formats and new models, focus on serving the goal of "Three Highlands and Four New Mission" strategy, and undertake the lofty mission of educating people for the Party and cultivating talents for the country.
Director Luo Zuanji pointed out in his concluding speech that the cross-border e-commerce industry has broad prospects for development. In terms of personnel training, Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan shall make joint efforts to further integrate the resources of Organization Department, Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Commerce Department and other departments, and build a platform for exchanges and cooperation among universities, enterprises and talents, so as to provide a "Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Path" for the introduction of national standards and create a "Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Model". He emphasized that first, we must earnestly grasp the new opportunities for the construction of cross-border e-commerce talents in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan; second, we shall actively explore the new path of cultivating cross-border e-commerce in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan; third, speed up the improvement of the new mechanism for the use of cross-border e-commerce talents in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan. Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan shall jointly create a new situation of cross-border e-commerce industry development and personnel training, and strengthen talent support for Hunan to "build a highland of reform and opening up in inland areas".
