HUTB Holds the Presidium (Enlarged) Meeting of Faculty Congress

On the morning of November 12, HUTB held the presidium (enlarged) meeting of faculty congress in the lecture hall on the third floor of Lingnan Innovation Center, which was attended by all members of the presidium of and representatives of faculty congress, Party representatives, chairmen of democratic parties, deputies to the National People's Congress, CPPCC members and delegates and presided over by Vice Party Secretary Xiao Xiaoqin.
Vice President Liu Guoquan explained the Implementation Plan of Performance Pay Distribution Reform of HUTB 2021and the Administrative Measures for Dismissal of Staff in HUTB. Chief leader Li Dingjun made an explanation on the Education Development Plan of HUTB during the 14th Five-Year Plan (Draft for Soliciting Opinions)and the Statutes of HUTB (Amendment).
Participants discussed the four documents of HUTB, put forward opinions and suggestions for further revision and improvement, and voted on the four documents by show of hands under the supervision of the scrutineers. The staff read out the resolution of meeting, and the participants voted unanimously by show of hands.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, pointed out that the four important documents successfully passed in this meeting are important measures to implement the spirit of the first Party Congress of HUTB, which is conducive to further improving the governance system of HUTB and management mechanism of HUTB and schools, consolidating the responsibilities, obligations and rights of schools, and keeping the strong development momentum for HUTB.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong demanded that, first, we shall further promote the two-level management and performance reform of HUTB and schools in accordance with the standards of high-level universities, realize the modernization, institutionalization and standardization of university governance, and become a model benchmark for education; second, we shall thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and various management system regulations of CPC, comprehensively strengthen the leadership and building of CPC, and further standardize the internal management systems and mechanisms; third, we shall vigorously implement the measures for team building according to the principle that the cadres can go up and down, teachers can go in and out, and constantly update the fresh blood of the organization, so that the organization always keeps full of vitality and positive.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong emphasized, while drawing a beautiful blueprint for development, we shall also be down-to-earth and work hard to develop HUTB, undertake the outstanding achievements during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, create a brilliant future during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, live up to the trust of the faculty and students of HUTB, earnestly enhance the sense of acquisition, happiness and security on part of faculty and students, make faculty and students proud of being HUTBers, make the achievements and social reputation of HUTB widely spread, strive to achieve new leap-forward development, realize the strategic goal of "Three Upgrades and Three Highlands", and achieve the career vision of building an innovative first-class technology and business university with distinctive characteristics as soon as possible.
