HUTB Teacher Chen Jia Wins 4th Place in Table Tennis Final of 14th National Games Mass Competition

The table tennis final of the mass competition of the 14th National Games of China was held from September 16 to 22 at Baoji Stadium, Shaanxi Province. After intense competition and rounds of fierce battles, Chen Jia, a teacher from HUTB, won the fourth place in the women's singles group aged 25 to 39.

 

More than 150 top amateur players from 23 provincial and municipal sports associations competed in the games, which were the highest-level amateur table tennis event in China. Representing Hunan Province, Teacher Chen Jia of HUTB participated in the table tennis competition of the mass group aged 25 to 39, and went through fierce competitions with table tennis masters of other provinces. In the quarterfinal, she beat the defending champion to enter the semi-final, bringing honor to Hunan and actively demonstrating the valiancy and tenacity of HUTB teachers.


 

In recent years, HUTB has been actively advocating the life philosophy of "exercising one hour a day, working healthily for 50 years, and living happily for a lifetime," and encouraging the faculty and staff to go outdoors to enjoy the sun and participate in Fitness-for-All programs after work. The award-winning teacher Chen Jia fully demonstrated the spirit of the faculty and staff of HUTB, and helped the university achieve the strategic goal of "Three Advances and Three Highs" with physical fitness for all.
