On the afternoon of September 15, Yang Yang, General Party Branch Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of Hunan Central South Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. ("HCSIE"), paid a visit to HUTB. Chen Xiaohong, HUTB Party Secretary and CAE Academician, attended the meeting. Leaders of Industrial Agent Innovation Institute, R&D Center, Government & Enterprise Affairs Center, and Administrative Office of HCSIE, as well as leaders of the Party Committee Office and Principal Office, Scientific Research Administration Division, School ofComputer Science & Information Engineering, Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, and Academician Office of HUTB, were also present. The meeting was held in Conference Room 1211, Economic Management Complex.
At the meeting, Chen Xiaohong introduced HUTB's educational philosophy of "new engineering courses + new business courses + new liberal arts courses" integrated with science courses. In recent years, the layout of schools and disciplines has been constantly optimized, showing a good momentum of development. The quality of enrollment and employment continues to improve, ranking among the top universities in Hunan province, and the employment rate ranked first among provincial universities for three consecutive years. New breakthroughs have been made in the construction of scientific research platforms and laboratories. The first National Center for Basic Science in central China has been approved and state key laboratories are on the way. She believed that HUTB and HCSIE have very broad prospects for cooperation, and hoped that two sides would conduct in-depth cooperation on technology R&D, talent training, base construction and platform construction in intelligent manufacturing, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain and other fields.
Yang Yang said that under the care and guidance of Academician Chen Xiaohong, HCSIE was preparing for listing. He believed that in the era of mutual integration of knowledge systems, it's difficult to innovate science courses, engineering courses, liberal arts courses or business courses separately, but their knowledge systems could be reconstructed, integrated and developed. Chen Xiaohong has led HUTB to do a lot of pioneering work in the artificial intelligence field in Hunan Province, and HUTB has become a famous university with outstanding achievements. HCSIE sincerely hopes to participate in the future construction and development of the university to jointly make contributions to the implementation of "Three Highlands, Four New Missions" strategy in Hunan province. HCSIE also looks forward to more intellectual support and professional guidance from Academician Chen Xiaohong.
After the meeting, Yang Yang and his delegation visited the laboratory and Engineering Research Center of HUTB. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the specific issues of deepening cooperation.
