School of Computer Science Works with Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch to Provide Epidemic Prevention Voluntary Service

To cope with the epidemic situation which has been worsened recently, the blood donation voluntary service team of the Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch and the Student Youth Volunteer Association of the School of Computer Science of HUTB jointly established HUTB student squad of the blood donation voluntary service team of the Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch to assist the blood donation voluntary service team of the Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch in providing voluntary service, storing and dispatching epidemic prevention supplies.
The university attaches high importance to the voluntary activities. During the transportation of epidemic prevention supplies, Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, consoled the volunteers, have a cordial talk with volunteers, and enjoined them to adopt self-protection measures during transportation.
On the morning of August 4, the HUTB student volunteer service squad started donating epidemic prevention supplies to HUTB, Changsha Bus Station Construction, Operation and Management Co., Ltd., Hunan Finance and Trade Hospital, attached school of Changsha University of Science & Technology, and other schools, enterprises and organizations in need.
The first stop of the donation activities is HUTB, where epidemic prevention supplies with a total value of RMB70,980, including 100 isolation suits, 25,000 pairs of medical PVC inspection gloves and 19,320 medical masks, will be used for epidemic prevention and control during summer holiday. The donation ceremony was held in front of the general outpatient department of the university. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Yi Mianyang, and Huang Jianjun, head of the blood donation voluntary service team of the Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch, attended the ceremony. Heads of the Logistics Management Service Center and the School of Computer Science participated in the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Vice President Yi Mianyang appreciated the Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch for donating epidemic prevention supplies to the university. Huang Jianjun handed over the epidemic prevention supplies to the head of the Logistics Management Service Center.
The epidemic prevention supplies donated by the blood donation voluntary service team of the Red Cross Society of China Hunan Branch have been delivered to the university, and will be allocated under the supervision of the Logistics Management Service Center and the University Clinic.
