Delegation Led by Tian Bingchuan, CEO of Huazhi Biotech Co., Ltd. Visits HUTB for Cooperation

On the afternoon of August 4, a delegation led by Tian Bingchuan, CEO of Yuelushan See Innovation Center and CEO of Huazhi Biotech Co., Ltd., visited HUTB for cooperation. The meeting was attended by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, and the heads of the School of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies and the Personnel Division. The meeting was held in Conference Room 1211 of Economic Management Complex.
At the meeting, Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, extended warm welcome to the delegation led by CEO Tian Bingchuan. She said that big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain have become important growth areas of economic and social development in Hunan province, and that the research and application achievements in some areas have reached the leading level domestically. She added that the Hunan province’s first National Basic Science Center led by HUTB is aimed at international science frontier, strives to seize the commanding height of international science development, and has yielded numerous original achievements with important international influence.
Academician Chen Xiaohong further put forward proposals on industry-education-research cooperation, smart agriculture and joint construction of talent base: both sides may give full play to HUTB’s data intelligent technology accumulation and R&D achievements in the fields of big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain; taking into account Yuelushan See Innovation Center’s strengths in biological breeding, both sides can designate biological breeding and planting agriculture as an important scenario of research cooperation and technological research; both sides plan to jointly build a talent base to cultivate interdisciplinary, high-end talents in “biotechnology+data technology”; both sides will spare no effort in participating in and supporting the establishment of state-level research platform, so as to promote the development of smart agriculture in Hunan province and the rest of Central China.
CEO Tian Bingchuan appreciated Academician Chen Xiaohong for warm reception and strong support. He said that Huazhi Biotech Co., Ltd. is a high-tech R&D and innovation platform enterprise featuring innovation, openness and seed sharing established under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, and is one of the units to construct national molecular breeding platform. He said that the company will establish a “2+8” core technology system, with biological technology and data technology serving as two key pillars and constant focus on rice, pepper, pig and five other application scenarios. He expressed the hope that the company will carry out deep cooperation with the university, give full play to the strengths of academician team, further optimize industry top design, and jointly build national technological innovation and research platforms for biological breeding and data intelligence.
Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges and reached consensus on cooperation.
