HUTB Holds a Conference on COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control

On the afternoon of July 29, a conference on COVID-19 prevention and control of HUTB was held at Conference Room 206 in Technology Building, attended by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, Liu Guoquan and Gan Dejian, Vice Presidents, He Longde, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission, and Yi Mianyang, Vice President, participated in by leaders of Leading Group Office for Epidemic Prevention and Control and relevant secondary organizations and presided over by Vice President Yi Mianyang.
At the meeting, Vice President Yi Mianyang conveyed the spirit of the Notice Document of Department of Education of Hunan Province on COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
The leaders from the Office of Leading Group for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and relevant secondary organizations respectively introduced the works related to epidemic prevention and control on campus, discussed the problems faced, and put forward specific solutions and suggestions.
Participating leaders emphasized and deployed the works in charge.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, pointed out that at present, the province is facing a very severe and complicated situation of epidemic prevention and control. On the afternoon of July 28, Xu Dazhe, Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, held a meeting to deal with the joint COVID-19 prevention and control mechanism to inspect and dispatch the epidemic prevention and control. On the morning of July 29, Department of Education of Hunan Province issued the Emergency Notice on Further Strengthening COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Schools. She stressed that epidemic prevention and control is the top priority at present. HUTB shall attach great importance to it, mobilize quickly and take immediate action. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control from higher authorities, upgrade campus epidemic prevention and control measures, decompose tasks, implement them at different levels, and be responsible and conscientious in defending the epidemic, so as to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to the campus and earnestly safeguard the campus.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong put forward requirements for further implementing the epidemic prevention and control on campus: first, strictly follow the requirements of Department of Education of Hunan Province on epidemic prevention and control, with the top leaders of HUTB personally taking overall responsibility, and the leaders of secondary organizations personally commanding by the front, implementing the 24-hour duty system and putting the responsibility to people. Second, implement the "closed" campus management, strengthen the control of gates, and for the personnel entering and leaving the campus, check two codes, test the body temperature, register the identity and inquire the information". Teachers and students of HUTB shall wear the campus cards, workers of construction projects on campus and other personnel shall show the temporary passes issued by HUTB, and off-campus personnel shall be picked up by staff after being confirmed. Third, implement the system of "daily report" and "zero report" on the health of teachers and students on campus. Students who are on campus during holidays shall not leave the campus without special causes. If they really need to leave the campus, they must strictly implement the leave procedures. At the same time, teachers and students shall try to reduce inter-provincial travel. Fourth, properly prepare for the nucleic acid detection for teachers and students on campus during holidays, and immediately start the nucleic acid detection for construction personnel on campus. Fifth, make preparations for dealing with emergencies at any time. Once teachers and students find that their health codes and travel cards have changed into red codes or yellow codes, they must report to the university and seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Sixth, store the epidemic prevention and control materials in advance. Seventh, strengthen the discipline inspection and supervision, strengthen the discipline guarantee, inspect and supervise the whole process and all-round prevention and control of epidemic on campus. She hopes that all secondary organizations perform their duties, keep their positions, jointly guard the safety and stability of the campus with a high sense of responsibility, make concerted efforts and unite as one, and resolutely win the battle of epidemic prevention and control.
