HUTB Establishes Tianyin Teachers Choir

On the afternoon of July 13, the inaugural ceremony of HUTB Tianyin Teachers Choir was held in the F3 Lecture Hall of Lingnan Innovation Center. The ceremony was attended by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary and President of Labor Union, Chief Leader Li Dingjun, Yang Hong and Chen Liying, both former leaders. Zhou Yuefeng, Vice President of Chorus-China, President of Chorus Association of Hunan, and Professor of Hunan Normal University, attended the ceremony upon invitation. Heads of relevant secondary units, members of Tianyin Teachers Choir, and teacher representatives of the School of Art & Design also attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Kuang Yumei, Party Secretary of the School of Sports and Health and leader of Tianyin Teachers Choir reported the preparatory work for the establishment of the choir.
Professor Zhou Yuefeng, artist consultant for the choir, addressed the ceremony. He said that with the support of university leadership, enthusiastic participation of members and sufficient logistics support, HUTB Tianyin Teachers Choir will create the best artistic achievements. He expressed the hope that the choir will be able to perform outside the campus and on a larger arena.
In her speech, Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, said that establishing Tianyin Teachers Choir is an effective measure to enrich the cultural life of campus and improve the happiness index for teachers and staff. She encouraged all the members of the choir to practice hard and improve Chorus level. She expressed the hope that under the guidance of Professor Zhou Yuefeng and the organization of the management committee, the choir will gain significant influence inside and outside the university, perform on a larger arena, and win choir competitions.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong also inaugurated the establishment of the choir, and announced the formal establishment of HUTB Tianyin Teachers Choir.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, presented the employment letter of artist consultant to Professor Zhou Yuefeng on behalf of the university. Vice Party Secretary Xiao Xiaoqin and Chief Leader Li Dingjun presented the employment letter of leader and employment letter of permanent commander to Kuang Yumei, Party Secretary of the School of Sports and Health, and Liu Junjie, teacher of the School of Art & Design respectively. Leader Kuang Yumei and Deputy Leader Yang Jia presented flowers to Academician Chen Xiaohong, Honorary Leader of the choir, and Professor Zhou Yuefeng, artist consultant of the choir, on behalf of all the members.
HUTB Tianyin Teachers Choir is established under the cordial care and guidance of the party committee of the university. Members of the choir performed chorus “China in the Lights” at the gala celebrating the 100thanniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The choir was praised by the audience, staff and students for melodious, beautiful, exciting and heroic tones. The mission of the choir is to perform classic chorus songs, cultivate artistic sentiment, promote social harmony, pursue colorful life, and establish a high-standard teachers choir with singing activities playing the main part and all-round quality.
