HUTB Hols Inaugural Ceremony of “Sanxiaxiang Program” Social Practice Activities during Summer Holiday of 2021

On the morning of July 13, the inaugural ceremony of “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice activities during the summer holiday of 2021 was held in Yingcai Square of the main campus. Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, and Gan Dejian, member of the party committee and Vice President, attended the ceremony. Leaders and staff of the Youth League Committee, vice party secretaries and branch youth league committee secretaries of schools, team leader and instructor, and student members of “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice team attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Zeng Jing, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, introduced the basic situation of “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice activities during the summer holiday of 2021. Hu Wangsheng, student of information technology 1901 class of the College of Science, addressed the ceremony as the student representative of “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice team. Yue Yuanhui, student cadre of the Youth League Committee, led all the students to take an oath.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, delivered a mobilization speech. She said that recent years have seen one group of HUTB students after another group actively answer the call of times, participate in “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice activities during summer holiday, engage in a variety of practice activities such as policy publicity, education and care, and supporting agriculture with science and technology in urban communities, fields, manufacturing and mining enterprises, demonstrate responsibility with concrete action, contribute to the development of motherland with youth and dedication, and demonstrate HUTB spirit!
Secretary Chen Xiaohong put forward three expectations and requirements for teachers and students participating in “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice activities: First, all the teachers and students should foster firm ideal and faith, memorize original mission, and accumulate strong spiritual power in social practice. All the participants should grasp and implement the requirements of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the ceremony celebrating the 100thanniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, link individual dream with the future of motherland, combine the great spirit of CPC and the mission of youth, temper will and quality with youth and sweat through “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice, and strive to become youth with aspiration, moral integrity and confidence for new era! Second, all the participants should consolidate disciplinary knowledge, apply what they learned in practice, and demonstrate HUTB spirit in grass-roots service. All the participants should serve people with true skill and genuine knowledge, improve the ability to identify and solve actual problems, test the effect of study in social practice, and write papers on the motherland. All the participants should combine the practice of reading ten thousand books with that of travelling ten thousand miles, make HUTB voice heard in social practice, tell a good story of HUTB, and demonstrate HUTB spirit! Third, all the students should focus on summing up, extracting and condensing highlights and characteristics, and perfect HUTB brand through the transformation of achievements. All the participants should record and summarize what they thought and gained in social practice. The Youth League Committee and schools should strengthen publicity, summarize characteristics, perfect brand, and enhance the influence, appeal and attraction of the “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice activities. She also stressed the importance of maintaining safety as the first priority. She enjoined the team leader to earnestly fulfil the responsibility of team management. She also enjoined the students to pay attention to protecting the safety of food, property, transportation and life, raise the awareness of epidemic prevention, and participate in social practice activities with healthy body, full spirit and good state.
At last, Secretary Chen Xiaohong expressed the hope that all the participants will take excellent, hard work and civilized behavior as a habit, give full play to the model and demonstration role, contribute to achieving the goal of “Three Progresses, Three Highlands” with youth and blood, and make greater contributions to serving the motherland and people!

After the ceremony, Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and Academician, consoled some members about to depart for the survey site. She praised the students for actively participating in “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice activities and demonstrating good spiritual outlook, and encouraged them to engage in grass-roots and front-line work, dedicate their youth to China, and display the power of youth in social service.
It is learned that 118 practice teams consisting of more than 1000 teachers and students participated in this year’s “Sanxiaxiang Program” social practice activities. Besides meticulous deployment and arrangement, the Youth League Committee organized a special training session on Sanxiaxiang Program, and provided all the teachers and students participating in the social practice activities with training in precautions, so as to ensure that they will successfully complete the survey task.
