Unveiling Ceremony of HUTB New College Held

The unveiling ceremony of the Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing, School of Resources and Environment, and School of Public Administration and Human Geography was held on July 6, attended by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, President Huang Xin, Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary, Vice Presidents Liu Guoquan and Gan Dejian, and leaders Li Dingjun and Nie Guoqing, participated in by Academician Fan Guobin, former deputy chief engineer of China Academy of Engineering Physics, Academician Liu He, from China Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute, Major General Tan Yuejin, former Dean of the School of Information Systems and Management, National University of Defense Technology, Professor Zhao Shuming, Senior Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences, Honorary Dean of Business School and Dean of Xingzhi College, Nanjing University, Liu Feixiang, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation Limited, Tang Xiuguo, Director and President of Sany Group Co., Ltd., Professor Geng Yong, Dean of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Changjiang Scholar, and Distinguished Young Scholar, Professor Chen Bin, Director of Ecological Environment Governance Research Center of Beijing Normal University and Distinguished Young Scholar, Professor Xu Xuanhua of the Business School of Central South University and other academicians, experts and entrepreneurs, as well as the heads of functional departments such as the Party Committee Office and Principal Office, Personnel Division and Scientific Research Administration Division, team members of relevant schools and representatives of faculty of HUTB, and presided over by Huang Xin, President of HUTB.
At the ceremony, Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary of HUTB, read out the founding documents of the newly established schools.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary of HUTB and CAE Academician, and participating academicians, experts, entrepreneurs and team members of relevant schools jointly unveiled the new schools.
Chen Xiaohong expressed her heartfelt thanks to the academicians, experts and famous entrepreneurs attending the meeting for their long-term concern and support for HUTB on behalf of the Party Committee and administration. She said that HUTB is an innovative university full of vitality, and its development is in need of the strong support from all walks of life, so as to walk out a road different from traditional universities and achieve a high degree of cross-integration in the construction of disciplines and specialties. The suggestions and full support of academicians, experts and famous entrepreneurs will help HUTB achieve the goal of "Three Upgrades and Three Highlands" and become an innovative first-class technology and business university with distinctive characteristics as soon as possible, and train more innovative, entrepreneurial, applied and compound talents. She demanded that with the strong support of HUTB, the newly established schools shall take this opportunity to set the lofty aspirations, combine the characteristics of school, promote cross-integration, actively seize new opportunities and seek new development, develop closely around the career development goals, realize the connotative and leap-forward development, and strive to establish a brand and characteristic school.
