Executive Council Meeting 2021 of Hunan Education Network Association Held in HUTB

On the morning of June 26, the Executive Council Meeting 2021 of Hunan Education Network Association was held in the conference center on the 3rd floor of Lingnan Innovation Center of HUTB, attended by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary of HUTB and CAE Academician, Yi Mianyang, Vice President of HUTB, Shi Ronghua, Chairman of Hunan Education Network Association, Tang Dongbin, Director of Information Center of the Department of Education of Hunan Province, and participated in by the representatives from more than 40 executive council members, including National University of Defense Technology, Central South University, Hunan University, Hunan Normal University and Changsha Education Bureau. The opening ceremony was presided over by Yi Mianyang, Vice President of HUTB.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary of HUTB, delivered a speech on behalf of HUTB. She elaborated on the historical evolution of HUTB and the developments in recent years in terms of construction of “Double First-class” Initiative, enrollment and employment, and information construction. She said that HUTB adheres to the idea of integration between the "new technology + new business + new liberal art" and science, and has made gratifying achievements in the research fields of frontier disciplines such as big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and blockchain. At present, HUTB is fully implementing the spirit of the first Party Congress of HUTB, striving to achieve the goal of "Three Upgrades and Three Highlands", and building an innovative first-class technology and business university with distinctive characteristics.
At the meeting, the undergraduate department, vocational education department, general education department and secretariat of the association summed up their works in the first half of the year and made arrangements for the works in the second half of the year. Chairman Shi Ronghua highly affirmed the achievements of various departments, and thanked the teams of various departments for their efforts and the support of the council members. He stressed that all organizations shall carry out more activities according to laws and regulations, participate in the association activities, enhance the cohesion, give full play to the advantages of association in the whole province, industry and academics, hold more high-standard academic conferences, and take vocational education as a pilot to carry out the evaluation and analysis of the informatization construction status of the whole province, so as to contribute to promoting the "Three Highlands and Four New Missions" strategy of educational informatization service in the whole province. Director Tang Dongbin encouraged everyone to "learn" more technology, "dig into" more technology and "use" more technology, give full play to the advantages of industry technology associations, play the role of bridge and link of provincial association, ensure the network security, and present the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.
In the meeting, the issue concerning the change of the legal entity of the association was voted, the membership of two universities and eight enterprises were deliberated, and the development of association, party building and other matters were discussed.
After the meeting, all the participating leaders and experts visited many places of HUTB, including the smart campus command center, data center, Chinese and foreign clean governance exhibition, Creativity Gallery, Chufeng Academy.
