On the afternoon of June 24, Zhang Qing 'an, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of National Unity Magazine, National Ethnic Affairs Commission, visited HUTB for investigation and exchange. The symposium was held in Conference Room 702, No.2 Office Building, and chaired by Chief Leader Nie Guoqing, with the attendees of President Huang Xin, leader and staff of the Editorial Department of Journal of Hunan Business College.
On behalf of HUTB, President Huang Xin extended a warm welcome to Secretary Zhang Qing 'an and his delegation. He introduced the development history and basic situation of HUTB, as well as the achievements made in the past six years under the leadership of Chen Xiaohong, HUTB Party Secretary and CAE Academician, in the aspects of "three upgrading", discipline construction, scientific research and social services, and the goal of "three admissions and three highlands" determined in the 14th Five-year Plan period. He also briefly introduced the situation of Journal of Hunan Business College, and hoped that Secretary Zhang Qingan can provide professional guidance on improving the quality of the Journal, expanding its influence and making it a CSSCI journal.
Zhang Qing 'an introduced the situation of National Unity Magazine and China's Ethnic Groups, and affirmed the achievements of HUTB in running the Journal of Hunan Business College. He analyzed the orientation, standards, characteristics and highlights of high-level journals, emphasized the importance of ideology in running journals, and put forward a series of strategic views and suggestions on improving the journal level, including exploring the idea of running the journal, promoting knowledge transformation, tapping potential resources, expanding social influence, improving organizational management, strengthening editorial board member management, strictly implementing editing and review procedures, holding academic forums, intensifying publicity and establishing sharing mechanism, etc.
The participants exchanged views and discussed the issues related to running the journal at a high level, saying that they will further deepen the linkage and cooperation.
During the period, Zhang Qingan and his party also visited Chufeng Academy, Xiande Creator Academy and Lingnan Creativity Gallery, and gave high praise to our work in scientific governance, intelligent management, cultural construction, study style construction and open university running.
It's learned that the National Unity Magazine is a cultural institution directly under the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, responsible for editing and publishing China's Ethnic Groups in five languages, namely Chinese, Mongol, Uygurlanguage, Kazakh language and Korean, and running the website (56-china.com.cn) as well as WeChat official account of China's Ethnic Groups in the above-mentioned five languages. China's Ethnic Groups, founded in 1957 with the original name of National Unity, changed its name to current name in 2001 and is a state-level comprehensive politics journal with authoritative reports on the affairs of all ethnic groups in China.
