On the morning of June 24, the graduation commencement and degree awarding ceremony 2021 of HUTB was grandly held in the gymnasium and presided over by Huang Xin, President and Vice Party Secretary, with the attendees of Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, other leaders, members of Party Committee and senior professors, and Tan Xiancai, President of Beijing Alumni Association and General Manager of Baker Tilly China Certified Public Accountants upon invitation, as well as all members of the academic degree evaluation committee, heads of relevant functional departments, Party secretaries and deputy secretaries and graduating class counselors of schools. All the graduates in 2021, parents, teachers, students and alumni witnessed the glory and joy of the graduates in 2021 by attending the live ceremony or watching the live broadcast through the network platform and campus TV screen.
The graduation commencement kicked off in the magnificent national anthem. Zhang Ling, Vice President, read out the Decision of Hunan University of Technology and Business on Approving Graduation of Zeng Lihui and Other Students, the Decision of Hunan University of Technology and Business on Granting Bachelor Degrees to Zeng Lihui and Other Students, Beijin College's Decision on Approving Graduation of 1469 Students including Liu Feng, Beijin College's Decision on Granting Bachelor Degrees to 1469 Students including Liu Feng, the Decision of Hunan University of Technology and Business on Approving Graduation of VU VAN AN (International Student) and Other Students and the Decision of Hunan University of Technology and Business on Granting Bachelor Degrees to VU VAN AN (International Student) and Other Students. Gan Dejian, Vice President, read out the commendation notice for the provincial outstanding graduates. The provincial outstanding graduates of HUTB were awarded with the honorary certificates by all leaders, members of Party Committee and senior professors.
The valedictorians, Zhou Dongbo, a graduate student of School of Law & Public Administration, Gong Yinli, a graduate student of School of Frontier Interdisciplinary, Hu Libo, an undergraduate student of School of Computer Science & Information Engineering and Wan Pohua, an undergraduate student of School of Economy & Trade, spoke deeply about their growth and gains on the way to school and expressed their deep gratitude and good wishes to their alma mater in the form of dialogue and exchange. Four students respectively quoted four famous sayings: "if a man has enough ambition, no matter how far he wants to reach, he can finally reach it, and even the extremely high mountain or the wide sea can't limit his progress", "a person can surpass teachers and predecessors only because of their upbringing and training", "it's not a pity to give your good saddles and horses and spend all money to friends", "set great ambitions, understand great virtues, become great talents, and take great responsibilities", expressing the firm determination of "working hard and returning to alma mater; being thankful to teachings and giving back to teachers; working hard and meet at the pinnacle of life; learning hard and pursuing excellence".
Professor Xu Xuesong from School of Frontier Interdisciplinary, a teacher representative, sent the heartfelt wishes to the graduates in 2021. He encouraged all graduates to wake up in the times and respect their motherland and morality; adhere to seeking truth and being pragmatic and learn lifelong; constantly cultivate the pattern and learn to grow; strengthen the self-management and move towards excellence. General Manager Tan Xiancai, an alumni representative, said that "Two years ago, I had the honor to return to my alma mater to attend the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the university.
