Teacher Chen Jia of HUTB Wins Good Results in the Hunan Table Tennis Qualification Trials of the Mass Group of the 14th National Games of Golden Crown Cup

From June 5 to 6, the “I want to take part in the National Games” Hunan Table Tennis Qualification trials of the Mass Group of the 14th National Games of the Golden Crown Cup, authorized by Chinese Table Tennis Association and sponsored by Provincial Table Tennis Association, was held in Table Tennis Hall of Changsha County Cultural and Sports Service Center. More than 200 folk masters from 14 prefectures and cities in the province gathered together, which fully demonstrated the highest-level amateur table tennis events in Hunan. After two days of intense competition, Chen Jia, a teacher from HUTB, won the women's team championship and women's singles championship with superb skills, tenacious fighting spirit and positive attitude of unity and cooperation.
In strict accordance with the competition rules of table tennis events in mass competitions of the 14thNational Games, this Hunan qualification trials consists of four major events: men's and women's singles and men's and women's groups. Among them, men's and women's singles are divided into five groups according to their ages, and the contestants cover the age groups from 25 to over 70 years old. Winners of each age group will represent Hunan in the Southern Division of the preliminaries of the National Games held in July.
In recent years, the sports competitions in HUTB have been carried out frequently with the promotion of the School of Physical Education and Health Management and table tennis enthusiasts. The award of this table tennis event will play a positive role in promoting the development of national fitness and sports in HUTB.
