Expert Group from the Department of Education of Hunan Province Visits HUTB to Carry out the Safety Inspection of Laboratory

For the purpose of strengthening the safety management of university laboratories and ensure the safety of teachers and students and the stability of the campus, the delegation of four people led by Zhang Xuefei, head of the expert group from the Department of Education of Hunan Province and Deputy Dean of the School of Chemistry of Xiangtan University, visited HUTB to carry out the safety inspection of laboratory on the morning of May 27. The meeting was attended by the Vice Presidents Zhang Ling and Yi Mianyang as well as the heads of Academic Affairs Division, Scientific Research Administration Division, Assets Management Division, Security Division, Logistics Service Division and other functional departments and the persons in charge of laboratory of relevant schools.
Inspection consists of four stages: work report, spot check, opinion summary and situation feedback. The briefing was held in Conference Room 401 in the No.2 Office Building, and presided over by Liu Daobo, Director of Academic Affairs Division. At the meeting, Vice President Zhang Ling welcomed the arrival of the expert group on behalf of HUTB, and hoped that the expert group would give more valuable opinions in this inspection. Team leader Zhang Xuefei conveyed the requirements of the Department of Education of Hunan Province for this on-site inspection and emphasized the importance of laboratory safety management. Tang Aiguo, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Division, reported the laboratory safety management of HUTB in terms of laboratory overview, management system and mechanism, safety inspection, etc.
Subsequently, the expert group carefully reviewed the laboratory safety management archives of HUTB, and conducted on-site inspections on Environment Smart Monitoring and Big Data Analysis Laboratory, Smart City Laboratory, Smart Logistics Laboratory and Internet of Things Laboratory.
In the feedback link, the expert group explained the on-site inspection, fully affirmed and spoke highly of the laboratory construction of HUTB, and put forward the targeted opinions on the laboratory safety responsibility system and safety culture construction of HUTB.
Vice President Yi Mianyang made a statement on behalf of HUTB and he thanked the expert group for its meticulous inspection and professional guidance. He said that HUTB attaches the great importance to the rectification opinions and suggestions put forward by the expert group, and will quickly formulate the rectification plans and measures, clarify the responsible person and time for rectification, conscientiously implement various rectification work, further improve and perfect the long-term mechanism of laboratory safety management, and ensure the safety of teachers, students, employees and laboratories.
