"Cross the Youth, Celebrate the Centenary" - Graduation Design Exhibition 2021 of School of Art & Design Inaugurated

On the morning of May 25, Graduation Design Exhibition 2021 of School of Art& Design, as part of the series of activities of "Artistic HUTB" was inaugurated in the Creativity Gallery of Lingnan Campus.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, watched the exhibition and gave guidance. She spoke highly of the artistic creativity and rich imagination reflected in the works of graduates. She pointed out that the graduation design exhibits of this year are of the diversified themes, artistic design and scientific concepts, resulting from HUTB further deepening teaching reform, innovating teaching practice and paying attention to the cultivation of applied talents. She hopes that the School of Art & Design, under the guidance of "Three Upgrades and Three Highs" proposed in the Party Congress of HUTB, strives to train more outstanding design and art talents to serve the local economic and social development, encourage graduates to illuminate their lives with art and design the colorful life pictures for themselves.
Vice President Zhang Ling attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The ceremony was attended by Gu Xiang, Secretary General of Hunan Advertising Association, Jiang Baorong, Executive Chairman of Alumni Association of the School of Art & Design and Chairman of Hunan BANY Industry Co., Ltd., and other guests, heads of Student Affairs Division, Academic Affairs Division, School of Art & Design and representatives of teachers and studentsand presided over by Tang Zhaohui, ViceDean of the School of Art & Design.
Vice President Zhang Ling said that this graduation design exhibition is not only the last demonstration of the learning achievements of the graduates in 2021, but also the demonstration of the achievements of all teachers’ hard cultivation of students in the past four years. The annual graduation design exhibition has become a creative feast of HUTB. 2021 is the centenary of the founding of the Communist Partyof China, and it is also the first year for HUTB to open a new chapter in the 14th Five-Year Plan. Under the background of HUTB steadily promoting the construction of "double first-class", deepening the aesthetic education in the new era and promoting high-quality development, the exhibition fully demonstrates the innovative spirit of the new generation of HUTB people.
After four years’ study in university, the graduates in 2021, integrating the rich professional knowledge and artistic accomplishment with the profound thinking of HUTB for the society, have created an ingenious artistic feast for the teachers and students of the whole school. The graduates convey their creative inspiration and design ideas to visitors in different forms of expression and dazzling works, making the teachers and students admire again and again. Through this graduation design exhibition, the art and culture atmosphere in the campus is further enriched, the spiritual world of teachers and students is enriched with art, and a better life is lit up.
