[Study and Education of Party’s History] Cultural Show Celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of CPC

For the purpose of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of Communist Party of China (CPC)and the successful convening of the first Party Congress of HUTB, carrying out the in-depth study and education of Party’s history, carrying forward the revolutionary tradition and passingon the tradition of revolution, Cultural Show “Struggle for a Hundred Years and Set Sail for a New Journey” of HUTB to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC was held in the lecture hall, Economic Management Complex on the evening of May 21. This splendid and rich revolutionary cultural theme party was watched by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, Huang Xin, Vice Party Secretary and Vice President, and other Party and government leaders together with teachers and students.

Under the command of Professor Xiao Ming, the cultural show started in the symphony performance. Ode to the Red Flag, where the heroic melody and magnificent harmony are integrated into one mass; Liuyang River,graceful and tactful, where the rich cultural customs of Hunan were demonstrated; dance Hero and Hot Land, where the love and loyalty to the motherland were expressed; Chorus Song of Communist Youth League Membersinspired the generations to work hard, and Motherland Will Not Forgetwas the song of youth praise in difficult times; female solo Hero Praiseexplained that the heroic spirit will never end; the song Youthdescribed the youth in the sky with the brisk and clear rhythm; the female group singing Hunan Dialectand Hot Girlcharacterized the enthusiasm and the coupled hardness with softness of Hunan girls; the male solo Love of the Republicexpressed the sincere feelings for New China; the folk dance Deep Love and Long Meaningorganically combined the paper-cut art with modern dance and was full of new ideas; the poem recitation Drumexpressed the beautiful imagination of the future of HUTB based on the 100-year struggle history of the Chinese nation; the male solo I Like Snowflakes from Heavenconveyed the deepest love for the motherland; the dance Youth Oathshowed the youthful vitality and high spirits of HUTB students; the male and female duets Build the Chinese Dream Togetherdepicted the grand blueprint of setting off with their heads held high with magnificent singing; the chorus In the Brilliant Sunshinepraised the 100-year unremitting struggle journey of CPC. When the Song of HUTB sounded, all the teachers and students stood up and sang out the confidence and style of HUTB.

Finally, the leaders of Party and government sang the songs Red Flag Flutteringand No New China Without the Communist Partywith all the teachers and students. Everyone waved the red flag in their hands, eulogized the great CPC with true feelings, praised the Party's 100-year struggle road, and devoted themselves to the new journey of the next 100-year struggle with high will and full enthusiasm. At the scene, red flags fluttered and rainbows shone everywhere. Teachers and students were enthusiastic and sang in unison, pushing the atmosphere of the party to its climax. At this point, the cultural show also came to a successful conclusion in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.

All Party members and all teachers and students will be united in one heart and one mind, keep up the spirits and forge ahead. Under the leadership of the new Party Committee of HUTB, taking advantage of the Party Congress, they have thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the Party Congress and made unremitting efforts to realize the goal of "Three Upgrades and Three Highs" and build an innovative first-class technology and business university with distinctive features.
