HUTB Holds Working Conference on Maintenance of Campus Safety and Stability

On May 19, HUTB held a working conference on the maintenance of campus safety and stability at Conference Room 206 in the Technology Building. The conference was attended by Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary of HUTB and CAE Academician, Xiao Xiaoqin, Vice Party Secretary of HUTB, Yang Liangqi, Vice President of HUTB, Gan Dejian, Vice President of HUTB, and Yi Mianyang, Vice President of HUTB. Heads of such secondary units as the Party Committee Office and Principal Office, the CPC Organization Department, the Party Committee Student Affairs Department, the Party Committee Security Department, and the Logistics Service Division participated in the conference.

The participating heads of secondary units reported on the progress in such areas as the preparations for the general meeting of Party member representatives, epidemic prevention and control, food safety, student safety management, student apartment security management, telephone fraud, and maintenance of campus safety.

Participating Chief Leaders put forward requirements concerning the priority of campus safety and stability during the general meeting of Party member representatives and the graduation season.

Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary of HUTB and CAE Academician, pointed out that the maintenance of campus safety and stability is a work that requires constant attention, and requested the university to guard against stormy weather and possible secondary disasters arising therefrom, care for teachers and students, and prevent telephone fraud. Secretary Chen put forward three requirements concerning the maintenance of campus safety and stability in the near future: first, to attach high importance to and guard against potential risks, conduct a comprehensive inspection of safety loopholes in the campus, and adopt responsibility attitude and sensitive awareness in identifying and eliminating risks; second, to carry out commanding work at front-line position, take the work of maintaining safety and stability as the first priority at important time nodes, refine various works, and avoid the occurrence of any safety accident; third, to make thoughtful preparations for maintaining the safety of the general meeting of Party member representatives, maintain safety and stability during the meeting, and provide strong support and favorable environment for ensuring that the first general meeting of CPC member representatives of HUTB will be successful, united and harmonious.
