Delegation of Backbone Research and Advanced Study Class of Private Regular Higher Education Institutions in Yangtze River Delta Visits HUTB

On the morning of May 7, under the leadership of Chen Wei, Director and Vice President of Shanghai Jian Qiao University, more than 40 members of the backbone research and advanced study class of private regular higher education institutions in Yangtze River Delta from 17 private regular higher education institutions visited HUTB. Gan Dejian, Vice President of HUTB, attended the meeting. The head of the Student Affairs Department, vice party secretaries of relevant secondary schools, the full-time cadre in charge of mental health education, and all the members of the College Student Mental Health Education Center participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Tang Xiaoqin, Director of the Students Affairs Department.
The meeting was held at the group training room of the College Student Mental Health Education Center. At the meeting, Vice President Gan Dejian elaborated on the teaching history of HUTB and the teaching achievements made by the university under the leadership of Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary of HUTB and CAE Academician, in recent years. He said that there is still a large space for improvement in mental health education, and expressed the hope to strengthen exchange and cooperation with higher education institutions in Shanghai to jointly elevate college student mental health education to a new level.
Vice President Chen Wei introduced the basic situation of Shanghai Jian Qiao University, as well as its efforts to promote mental health education of private regular higher education institutions as the sole private regular higher education institution that is eligible as a mental health education demonstration center and research and advanced study base in Shanghai. She said that this visit provides an opportunity to learn from HUTB’s typical experience in mental health education, and to further implement the principle of three-wide education in private regular higher education institutions in Yangtze River Delta.
Daiji, Director of the College Student Mental Health Education Center, introduced the measures taken by HUTB in promoting mental health education and its actual results in terms of such aspects as publicity and promotion, growth counseling, and psychological consultation.
During the inspection, the members of the delegation also visited the College Student Mental Health Education Center, the School of Economy & Trade, the School of Accounting, the college student growth counselling room of the School of Finance, and the campus learning and living environment.
