Chief Leaders of HUTB Pay Inspection Visit to Moon Island Campus and North Campus

On the morning of May 6, all the Chief Leaders of HUTB and heads of the Party Committee Office and Principal Office, the Personnel Division, the Capital Construction Division, the Logistics Service Division, the Assets Management Division, and the Beijin College, under the leadership of Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician and Huang Xin, HUTB President, paid an inspection visit to the Moon Island Campus and the north campus.
The Chief Leaders visited the construction land of the Moon Island Campus and the teaching and learning sites of the north campus, such as the No.1 Teaching Building, Wenjin Bookbar in the Library and the Campus Roundabout. During the inspection, Secretary Chen Xiaohong and President Huang Xin listened to the report on preparations for examination and approval, planning and relocation of construction land of the Moon Island Campus and the quality improvement and transformation project for the teaching and learning sites of the north campus. They visited the site, expressed satisfaction toward the implementation of various works, and instructed relevant units to proceed with the next stage of construction with high standard and high quality.
At the on-site office meeting afterwards, participants reported and had discussions on such topics as the construction of the Moon Island Campus and the infrastructure construction of the north campus, system and mechanism reform, student education management, student accommodation arrangement, campus safety management, and infrastructure of the south campus, and put forward solutions.
Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary of HUTB and CAE Academician, spoke highly of the preparatory work for the Moon Island Campus and the north campus. She said that the hard work of all the parties involved yielded good results in management and construction. She requested relevant parties to initiate and accelerate the construction of the Moon Island Campus, set up a leading group and a working group, actively attract government and social resources, and work to build a high-level new campus; promote the construction of such infrastructure as comprehensive building and stadium, and improve and optimize the infrastructure conditions and campus environment of the north campus; incorporate the principle of taking concrete actions to address difficulties in the study and education of the Party’s history, adhere to the principle of serving teachers and students wholeheartedly, and enhancing the sense of gain, happiness and security among teachers and students; further strengthen refined management, and ensure that the university is safe, stable and orderly; stick to the principle of regular epidemic prevention and control, prevent the importation of COVID-19 variants, and safeguard the health of teachers and students.
”As this year marks the 100thanniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, HUTB will convene the first general meeting of Party member representatives after the change of its name. We should exhibit full enthusiasm, high will and positive energy, bring together strong vitality and spirit, and make the general meeting a great success, so as to make a good start of the university’s development during the 14thFive-Year Plan period,” said Secretary Chen.
