[Lushan Lecture] Professor Zhao Shuming of Nanjing University Gives A Lecture at HUTB

On the afternoon of March 27, Professor Zhao Shuming, Vice Chairman of Steering Committee for Professional Business Administration Education of the Ministry of Education, senior professor in humanities and social sciences, Honorary Dean of Business School and Dean of Xingzhi Studio of Nanjing University, delivered upon invitation the 106thLushan Lecture at HUTB, with the theme of “Research on Capitalization Reform of Human Resources Department of Enterprise”. The lecture was held at the lecture hall of F201, Lezhi Building, hosted by Nie Guoqing, Chief Leader of HUTB, and attended by faculty, graduate and undergraduate representatives of HUTB.

 


With digital economy, intelligent economy, mobile internet and big data as pointcuts, Professor Zhao Shuming elaborated the change and development of human resources management in China from the perspective of organizational and institutional changes. He said that outstanding talent, thinking that advances with times and flexible and efficient organization are required for the era of intelligent human resources management. The human resources department should become a profit center, play a more important role of strategic significance, and be committed to supporting the business strategy. In the meantime, enterprises should build a new system of human resources featuring “service+platform”. By sharing the success cases of Haier, Midea and P&G, Professor Zhao elaborated the importance of transforming the human resources department, as well as how enterprises utilize policy environment and digital technology to support and promote the transformation of the human resources department. Professor Zhao also shared the lessons learned and suggestions on the capitalization reform of human resources department, and proposed the suggestions of “transforming the management philosophy to innovate the organization structure; transforming the management mode to achieve the added value of human resources department; transforming the management style to increase the value of human capital”.

 

Upon delivering the lecture in an easy-to-understand language, Professor Zhao Shuming conducted a fruitful and beneficial interaction with teachers and students.
